Yes. Examples of GG's G35 Grounding Gear!

I'm hoping you're asking because you like my workmanship, not because you think it sucks?!! That's why I use the clear shrink tubing. I think it looks better and attracts criticism.

Plan to do the 7th later. Have not driven as yet. The "G" was so nice and clean and it looked like rain I just couldn't do it. Maybe tomorrow.

Re: Hyper-Ground Kit-Experiences, Feedback, Etc.

I installed the kit from GSH at z-xtreme.com. I chose black, and it blends right in. I put in 5 wires, plus the 7th to the transmission. Quality and service were excellent.

Only two comments. I ground down the terminal on the wire going to the battery, so it would fit in the recess in the battery terminal clamp. The only hard part was the 7th wire, because I had to jack up the car and get under there.

Results - I have noticed that the shifting is smoother. Under gentle acceleration (sometimes we have to!) the throttle would sometimes surge up or down between shifts. This was very annoying. This has not happened since I installed the grounding kit.

Also - all the pics in this thread helped a lot on the install, so thanks!

Re: Hyper-Ground Kit-Experiences, Feedback, Etc.

Markrief:

Hey, great feedback. I take it Z-Xtreme is now offering the full length? I wonder how much difference the full length ground makes over the ground to just the tranny filler tube? It really is much more difficult to run the ground all the way to the tranny housing.

Rather than grinding down the lug, an option is to attach it to the other side of the terminal clamp, ie. just under the head of the bolt. As a matter of interest, when you ground down the lug, what did the core of the lug look like it was made of?

You should consider Hyper-Grounding your Maxima to see if you gain some similar benefits!

Hey GG,

Thanks for the hospitality this past Saturday. Will install the grounding kit this week (since it's supposed to rain).

Took me a bit of time to get the seats readjusted LOL.

Will keep everyone updated.

Re: Hyper-Ground Kit-Experiences, Feedback, Etc.

Hey Gord,
When I try to PM you, It said Page Cannot Be Displayed, and I tried numerous times...so im just going to post here.

hey gord,
Thanks a million for doing this for me, I really appreciate it!
I never contacted him becuase I forgot about the ground kit.
I would however like to go ahead and make the kit for me. How many wires will be in the kit you can make for me?

And would you be able to point the ground points for me?
If color is a preference, then red would be great.

And how much is the kit going to run?

Someone at the maxima.org forum tried to make his own kit out of a 2 wire 8awg power wire (car audio) with regular terminals and reported no change. I just thought that was really funny..

Thanks Gord!
Mor
