World Cup
just like brazil was going to win in 1998 but got dominated by france? the nice thing about having a few super teams, is it keeps the winner pretty open. then again you never really know if a smaller country might sneak by. however, the current brazil team seems to be 1 of the best they've ever had so who knows.
no they're 1 of the 6 counties who have won. they're definitely 1 of the super teams i was talking about.
as for the us game today, ha. now everyone's blaming the penalty. like dabomb said, if you're the last defender and you take down the lead offense, it's a yellow. however, it happened in the box so it's a penalty. now they're all blaming the us coach sadly. now get ready to hear them whine about the us for the rest of the games.

the US played like garbage...IMO, that was not a foul that gave them the PK but we had no chance to win that game and would have undoubtably lost 2-1 whether it came that way or legit. We have no skill and play with no heart. Ghana is advancing because they played with heart, not because they were better than the Czechs. Im glad I dont have to watch that crap again for another 4yrs.
another funny thing the commentators said was how people in the us might be tempted to skip work to watch the game. they dont realize that entire countries shut down for the world cup. about 6000 trinidadians flew over on a package deal to germany. the best part was after their loss to england, they celebrated more than the english fans simply because they were happy to be there. they're the smallest country to ever make it to the world cup. its a HUGE deal to all these small countries like t&t and ghana who dont have much else to look forward to. its cool to see people so happy about something like this.
