I think there both great products.

Im aiming for the Stillen, I keep trying to bug the dealership to install it like how they offer the Vortech installation with you're warrenty still intack. But If they wont do it I may switch Vortech but I do enjoy having that feeling of being thrown back into the seat when doing a launch.

I Called stillen awhile ago and talk to of the tech guys and they sayed they really have no plans on releasing a blower upgrade because they try to focus on not putting a lot of stress on the engine and try to keep it the safest FI you can get. But I know how companys like to hold back details.

I see this thread is a couple months old but I wanted to chime in about the Vortech "feeling stock under 4k RPM's". ...

Now this is my opinion but my Vortech kit feels like anything BUT stock at any RPM range. Just looking at a dyno for a stock VQ vs. what mine puts out ... the peak torque on a stock engine is reached MUCH sooner in the RPM band on my Vortech. Yes the power comes on in a more linear fashion but it also starts much earlier than a stock G.

Just my 2 pennies...

In no way is the vortech or the Procharger stock under 4k. Look at anyones dyno sheet and you can see min of 28lbs of tq gained if not 40lbs. Ive had a procharger now for 30k miles daily driving and tracking. I love it everytime that needle goes into boost.

However it is pretty noisy, then again it really makes peoples heads turn when they hear the meat grinder and jetwash.

Good luck with whatever you decide just dont cut corners or you will pay for it at the end.

at the dyno I use, stock dynos at around 212-220whp and around 190tq on a dyno dynamics dyno.

according to my dynocharts, comparing my vortech car's latest dyno to stock, I'm making about:

90 ft/lb more tq at 2000 rpms
100 ft lbs more tq at 2500 rpms
105 ft lbs more tq at 3000 rpms
130 ft lbs more tq at 3500 rpms
160 ft lbs more tq at 4000 rpms

it's noticable...

beyond 4000 rpms I make

170 ft lbs more tq at 4500 rpms
180 ft lbs more tq at 5000 rpms
183 ft lbs more tq at 5500 rpms
180 ft lbs more tq at 6000 rpms
160 ft lbs more tq at 6500 rpms

and that's even more noticable

Those are great number Sentry ... of course your setup is quite a bit higher than most other Vortech setups (including mine) but regardless the point is made loud and clear
