Twin turbo kit for $5500 going into production

Just talked to a local company that does some manufacturing on imports. Can't mention the company name here for obvious reasons. They said they'll in the process of making twin turbo kits for 350Z/G35 cars. Kits will include stainless tubular manifolds and downpipes. Charge pipes will be made of powder coated mild steel. Will even come with twin intercoolers Base kit will include two small turbos for fast spool. Twin GT28RS turbos are an upgrade and should make more than enough power and have fast spool to keep it fun. They also mentioned there kits will be available as custom order. As in you can use bigger turbos, or no intercooler, or single intercooler, ect. When I get more info or pictures I will post them asap

the greddy kit is close to that price and is already been proven time and time again. custom turbo kits usually have the standard custom problems at the beginning... just my two cents

hmmm.... I would want cast manifolds. Greddy, JWT, APS, PE, and others use them for a reason.

Yep....agree 100%. Tubular manifolds are the realm of race cars that undergo very high rate of part turnover. Not suitable for a street car. The best case scenario is that they last 15000miles, which i bet will not happen. And if you mate them with an exhaust without flex joints kiss those manifolds good bye in just a few thousand miles.

We have gotten 35,000 miles+ out of our 304SS tubular exhaust manifolds. My own personal car is approaching 20,000 miles now with the 304SS manifolds on there. I drive the car a minimum of 50 miles daily so there has been about 750-1000 heat cycles over the last year and a half with no ill effects.the materials and the way tubular manifolds are contstructed have alot to do with their durability.

so many people have tubular exhaust manifolds that lasted for many years. It's just the material used, and how it's welded. I haven't heard of any problems from say for example http://www.full-race.com/ for hondas.

If any of you old schoolers owned a turbo honda with a first generation DRAG CAST manifold, they cracked within a couple years or maybe less.
