Nah, not enought Tq for me. At least with a ST you can get 400ft-lbs.

I don't plan on ever buying another SC unless it is the only option I can get.

I'm surprised you didn't say: "or you can just sell it and spend another $xx,xxx on an M3"

Being that you are in Florida and don't have to worry about being CARB legal, go TT for sure.

I found a good deal on a ASP T 3,500 Shipped and i can do the install my self. It comes with everything needed. And i figure it has plenty of room to gain more then 400 whp. Figure if I want more power ill just buy some pistons and rods and up the boost a little more. Prob get a good 500 whp out of it. Then i could always spray if i wanted more power. I think over 600 wheel is a little to much for a DD, plus i would have to have some head work done. And if i didnt go over 600whp with a TT i would find it pointless going TT. But with the ST i can still get the headwork and spray a little more IF i needed.
I figure the extra 2 grand+ i save from doing the install my self and going with a ST i can invest toward Pistons and rods.

Thats just me.

But thanks for letting me know about the APS fitting..

That's a great deal on the APS kit.

It's going to be tough to get that much out of a ST without a lot of boost. Once you lower the compression you loose some and need more boost to come back. 450 wheel is where most of the ST kits start to have a hard time. The lower compression will also cause a bit more lag which is already too high on the ST kits (in my opinion).

As for the self install, you are still going to pull the motor to do the pistons and rods so why not put the TT kit on at the same time and save yourself a bunch of time.

400-450whp is a lot for a daily driver (trust me). But if you are anything like me, you will still want more and if you plan to build your motor, TT is the way to go. There have been so many people that started with SC or ST kits and changed them out for TT once they had it.

I would take his word for it he has been down the road with the install already so the voice of wisdom is good here

I think ST is the way. I can always upgrade to a bigger Garrett Turbo.. And yea I think the Garrett turbo that comes with the APS is only good for around 450. I still have alot of thinking to do and i need to educate my self on this topic a little more. But don't most Big HP cars go ST in the long run?
