I dont even consister RT as cats bc they llook more like test pipes. U have to remember hes running stock headers which are only 2.00 outlet so if he gets cats that are inlet 2.00 and expands toward 2.5 to connect to the exhaust (which I'm assuming is 2.5) then that will be the best combo of air flow. I really dont see any restrictions with this setup. So I still recommand the kinetix due to the 2.3 inlet and 2.5 outlet.

Hexxum, but I've run both crawfords and kinetix, but I'm NA, so my information may not apply directly to you. The kinetix sounded better IMO, but they had fitment issues. After weeks of bending and hammering the underside of the car, I was finally able to get them to fit well enough, but I still had an occasional cat/frame contact flutter.

The crawfords had zero fitment issues. The sound was also deeper, whereas the kinetix offered a more euro flavor to the exhaust note. I didn't notice any major differences in top-end power, but the crawfords definitely helped out down low versus the kinetix. Also I picked up almost 1mph in the 1/4 with the crawfords versus the kinetix. Again, this was all NA, so YMMV.

Well, test pipes are not a choice for me. I know it's illegal to change your cats period but at least having cats will lessen my chance of getting busted. I'm sure most cops wouldn't be able to tell the difference between stock cats and aftermarket cats. And if need be, I could just switch back to the stock cats. I really like the FI HFC's but don't want CEL's so I will be watching what happens with extreme's car.

Extreme bought some FI 400 HFC, which mean they are ceramic... which means they can break down much more easily.

FI 300 Cell are Metallic, and they are recommended for Forced Induction applications because they are very durable.

You can check out Hero's (Calvin's) review about these cats if you haven't already; IMO, im completely sold on them. If not for Fast Intentions, I would go for Crawford.

These guys (FI & Crawford) are have proven products that work well

I have the APS 2.5...when down shifting to first in manumatic i get a tiny bit of rasp. It's very mild. It's only when I am going very slow...if i give it some gas and then let go...The cats made my exhaust almost twice as loud!! The APS was very quiet before the cats

The FI cats do not have a heat shield on them so they look very different than OEM (they look better, but that is a bad thing come inspection time). I tried asking Tony about a solution to this, but he didn't really have a good lead on where to get OEM-looking heat shields to wrap around the cats.
