From what I understood from the tuner when it was explained. The G35/350Z has a few timing maps it runs. If it senses knock, then it runs one timing map while in closed loop mode. If he's boosted and tuned on that timing map, all is well. Fast forward a few days/weeks/months down the line. The car doesn't sense any knock anymore and reverts back to the no knock timing map which is more aggressive. That is where the problems occur, since the EU is a signal modifier which works by taking a signal and changing it in some way. That is the nature of a piggyback. For example, the signal from the Mass Air Flow is normally a voltage from 0-5 volts depending on the amount of air entering the engine. The ECU can be tricked into injecting more or less fuel by modifying the air flow voltage. At 5500rpm on g35man04's dyno, the MAF was being maxxed out at 5volts, so it was causing issues w/ the tune.

*again this is what I understood from the tuner, and not my own personal assessment*

Does GReddy offer a MAP sensor to use with the eManage for speed density fueling?

a little searching turned up part #'s

16401301n - sensor
16401406n - harness

I would wait for others to confirm if this is really what you need to bypass the MAF restriction.

Yes Greddy makes the sensor but for what he's running it shouldnt be an issue. I have just about the same setup and getting 408hp and 373tq on a Dyno pack.

Im not maxing out my voltage but I was maxing out injectors in the begining so I had to get 440cc.

Try an ECU reset before you retune. It doesnt sound right but then again nothing on these damn cars ever does what its suppose to. Does your tuner know what he's doing, as far at the EU?

as far as I know cameron is very knowledgeable in both Greddy and UTEC. He was very helpful in explaining the 2.....i wish he would be able to chime in and explain.

Im not saying he doesnt knwo anything but its hard to trust tuners these days... Some of them read a book and they think they know all.

Just doesnt make sence when your not boosting so much. Like I said though every motor is different they dont all run the same.

good luck dude Im sure its something small and will be worked out soon. Its always something small thats over looked
