I have seen a couple of cars with a 90 degree bend in the front for ther air filter. I always thought this was a better way to go then the filter righ ton the front of the unit, which would look like it would be a bit@h to get to

Nice!!!

This is what I have for my intake filter on my custom GT35R kit.

The piece they used has the FPR leaning on it.

I think a piece like that should work for you I think you will have more room than me.

I don't think your turbo inlet is as big as mine which I think is 3 or 4in.

The only thing I dislike about it is that you have to pull back the fender wall and or remove your wheel (I have 20in) to service the filter.

Just in case anyone is wondering my A/C line and grounding wire has been re-routed since it was very close to the hot side.

I strongly suggest you wrap yours also because it will melt.

Good luck!!

Nice setup, your turbo sits back a little more than this one.
The inlet is 4". Picked up a 4" to 3" reducer today so hopefully it will work with a little cutting.
The down pipe is wrapped and the A/C line is not touching it so it should be o.k

Cool.

Are you going to do something with the line that is zip tied under the hot side?

In the pic it looks closer than it actually is, also all the exhaust piping is wrapped to keep under hood temperature down. I will add some extra heat shielding for added protection.

Wow looks great, very nice work by the way. Did you end up getting the total for us yet? Very curious about how much it was. Thank you again for such a great step by step.

Great DIY! I hope it works out fine!

Now, someone post up a DIY for built engine blocks. :P
DIY is NOT wrong... I'm sure people rather would pay to do all this butt-load of work. I installed my own APS TT and don't want to do that **** again.

I think the cheap chinese turbine is gonna be the downfall of this whole project. All the work you put into this looks really good but you yourself said that you tried convicing the owner not to cheap out on the turbo.

Well my job is officially done on this car, the owner picked up the car today and is getting it tuned this Saturday,Utec map sensor and injectors by someone who posted in this thread.

Total spent on parts $1413.93.

Just wondering, what do you do for work, if you don't mind me asking, that is a very well done kit. Will you know how it will do after it gets tuned? Let us all know if you can.
Thanks
