DIY single turbo build write up
#94
Would you be willing to make piping kits for people?
I bet you could sell 10 or 12 sets to people who dont mind getting there own turbo and stuff. i have wanted to build my own kit for a while, but I could weld like you if I practiced for years.
Keep up the great work!

Not to thrilled about the turbo but lets see how it works, we could always change it later. The inducer wheel measures 53mm even though it was advertised at 60mm

This write up was a tremendous help, thanks for the write up sliderg35

I got royally screwed with the turbo purchased from E-Bay, do not buy from this seller. http://feedback.ebay.com/ebaymotors/...All%20Feedback
The short story with the turbo is that i'm going to end up with 2.
Should have more updates next week, thanks for your interest everyone.

This is my "self built" 240sx..

Total cost (including SR20DET Engine, Radiator, FMIC, Pipes, Downpipe, Exhaust, Turbo, BOV, Guages, Lines, Clutch, SAFC II, Engine Mounts, Electric Fans, New Belts, Misc crap etc.. ) $4000 and I used real parts.
Any of you guys paying $7,000 for a turbo kit need to seriously consider finding better ways to waste your money.
Look into the 240SX community, you will find (4 Cyl *Ka24DE*) cars with 600WHP on a home made kit for under $5,000 (including building the engine).

what do you mean "to the shaft"? there should only be one oil feed and one oil return.
Is this a china turbo off ebay?
