Not bad.....you have to consider that it comes with a form of Fcon (probably IS based) engine management. Sounds nice too. Although it would have been nice if he held the gas a bit so we could hear what it sounds like under acceleration.

Hrmmm ditch procharger go hks? hrrrrrm

Anyone interested in a procharger
Certified by GTM mang, guaranteed running safe

I wonder if this installed package includes fine tuning by GTM. Looks like the EM the kit comes with is pre-tuned...but will that be ok for a car that has a spacer/exhaust/HFC or TP/headers?

I doubt Sam would let anything out of GTM without a custom tune. They only do it the right way!

Yah I don't think it would be worth the switch for you.

As for new, I think the price is decent installed considering you get the EM with the kit.

its a fairly good deal, especially if gtm is installing it? Their prices are always high but theyre top notch in socal for our cars IMO.

I got a quote today on an HKS install

I've been chasing this FI mirage for quite a while and somewhere got the idea that a SC would be less expensive than a turbo, but I found out that this is not necessarily the case.

Of course HKS does things right the first time and quality is always a value.

In any event, the total (including a built engine of course) from one of those SoCal shops was $23,000 and that did not include any tranny work on my 5AT! And to make matters worse (well, not worse, but more expensive) I live about $2000 away from SoCal.

It was a bit of a surprise, but things cost what things cost and cutting corners with FI is an even more expensive proposition than FI..

hell yeah man I hear ya on that, the amount of $$ spend just keeps on going up once you go FI, you dont stop till you perfectly satisfied, but no regrets cuzz every time I punch that gas, it tells me why I went boosted.
