The pod is made by our interior fabricator. The piece starts as the OEM piece, and is molded and built up to create the final piece.

If anyone wants one done, they can send us their OEM piece, and we can make one. Just give me a call.

It's something we plan on mass producing, but it can be done as a custom one-off basis. It's not cheap, though.

Give me your full tire spec and I'll tell you what your tire diameter is. 305/25R20? If yours comes out to 25" and works fine then that will work!

I like that your car is amazingly well detailed and thought out. You have done a super job... well done!

One question... Where did you get the passenger seat footwell gauge pod? It looks like you have two of the Haltech wideband gauges mounted there. That is very, very cool...

_jb, thanks man. Yes Forged has a super guy they work with that did that custom gauge pod in 3 days for me. I thought I would lose some functionality, but he measured it out perfectly. The power port has enough room, the gauges actually point slightly toward the driver, even the storage cubby is fully accessible. It's nice that Forged Performance can just take care of everything so you don't have to go running around cleaning up odds and ends. They took the car, got it aligned after putting in the SPL pieces for example. Did the Haltech wiring, gauge pod, gauge install... All the troubleshooting!!!

As Sharif said, it wasn't cheap, but I have less and less time these days. I also like holding Sharif responsible for everything (lucky guy). No worries. No headaches. (for me that is). I just drove it home, checked fluids, drive to work, drive home, repeat the last 2 endlessly! LOL. Seriously, the car has been driving beautifully. I've checked oil a few times but that's it, mostly to admire the engine bay, check the catch cans etc.

I hope you aren't doing these calculations by hand or with a calculator. Here are two good sites that calculate tire/wheel sizes. The first site is simple... some people like it more. The second site is more complex, but super when fitting different/new wheels and tires on your car... It also takes wheel offset and tire clearance into account.

Thanks for the information Raj and Sharif!

It is certainly nice that Forged is expanding into a full service shop. That is very cool. I have always appreciated the quality work Sharif does... at the end of the day, it is what has made him famous.

That little gauge pod is functional and spectacular. I noticed that it tilts the gauges a bit towards the drivers side... very, very cool... nice craftsmanship... nice fitment. It is the perfect location for adding dual widebands to a G35 Coupe. I may end up copying your idea there, Raj.

By all means jb (and thanks for the links!). Honestly it wasn't my idea though - the Forged crew came up with it on their own. Same thing with the reservoir placement. They've got some creative folks. I actually wanted the gauges in the upper cubby but my guru of a tech at Forged (Chris) said it wouldn't fit without heavy modification. So I told him to get creative and do something he would be happy with if it was his car. He and this custom interior guy came up with the location and did it all, sight unseen by me. I just had faith they would do a good job - and they came through.

I'm confused ... I understand you took out the HFC from the test pipes. Are you running an HFC somewhere else in your exhuast? Or are you enjoying the aroma?

Well that's an interesting way of putting it - lol.

Yes, I admit I park it outside instead of in the garage for the time being. The plan is to get MotorDyne's new exhaust with the swappable components. Tony has plans for a cat that sits downstream. That should hopefully help with the fumes. And I can decide not to run it for full performance.

I must admit, it's not bad with just test pipes as long as I don't park the car in the garage where the fumes accumulate.

That's a 26" rear tire diameter. That's in spec so doesn't help to test the theory. Your front tire is actually bigger than your rear though. I might go to a 19" wheel in the rear and 18" in the front. hmmm...

YOu should be ashamed of yourself What kind of Infiniti owner are you The Manual clearly states " Use Super Unleaded and do not park outside."

Ha ha. Like you, I am 2nd in command of the household. Seriously, I am installing an aftermarket alarm with a 1 mile radius keyfob and doing a full Zaino treatment so it should be ok for the time being.

I'm trying to get Toyo tires that are 26" high, wide and I wanted 20" rims if I changed rims, but no such luck with R888, so now I'm looking at 19", but 19" fronts are limited for Toyo.

Toyo now has the R888's available in 265/30ZR19 (25.4" Dia.). Unfortunately they came out a month or two too late for me, and I ended up going with Pilot Sport Cups in this size for the front. I still used R888 305/30ZR19 in the rear.

After taking a look with an my car on the lift, 275/30ZR19s should fit easily in the front, but they are not yet available from Toyo. I beleive that they are available in the Pilot Sport Cups, though.

that's interesting - the 305 width of the toyo in 19 inch size is only 1/10 of an inch wider than my 295 PS2. I see some 19 in wheels in my future

thanks for the heads up!

Toyo R888 sizes in 18" and 19" sizes.
