Stillen vs. Vortech vs, ATI

So, why would anyone go with one over the other? Costs? Performance? Install? Maintenance? PLease, give me some well thought out opinions.

Re: Stillen vs. Vortech vs, ATI

IMOH depends on your needs

Stillen (Gotta run that modified hood)
Vortech and ATI (Makes some whinning noizes)

I have seen in person both the stillen and the Vortech but not the ATI.

If I had a Sedan I would do the Stillen
If I had a Coupe I would do either Vortech or go (Twin Turbo with a new bottom end)

Re: Stillen vs. Vortech vs, ATI

Why would you suggest a Stillen on a sedan and Vortech on a coupe?

I cannot see any logic to that statement. Maybe I'm missing something. Clue me in God. (no pun intended)

Re: Stillen vs. Vortech vs, ATI

I'm not fond of the Stillen Kit only because of the necessity to use their hood or at least the cowl section.

Vortech and ATI kits seem mostly similar. The ATI kit seems more robust in the bracket and pulley area. The ATI kit requires you replace the self enclosed lubrication oil at preiodic intervals(I believe every 3000 miles) which looks like it might be a PITA. IIRC the ATI kit used a top and bottom end tank set up on their I/C as well which wil have the same efficiency as a side to side set-up of equal size but with less of a pressure drop. I can't remember what each used for fuel management. I'll have to refer back to the literature I picked up at SEMA last year.

Gspot,

There is some sedan descrimintion going on..... lol j/k. But seriously, I think Kyle might have been just expressing the general "sedan is more subdued and not for serious modding" sentiment that many have and that Nissan arguably intended in the first place. BUt we know that the sedan is NO different from the coupe in it's ability to do some serious FI. Wait til you see what i do next (if i go forward with it - only if i can sell my kidney).

Re: Stillen vs. Vortech vs, ATI

do i smell a stroker kit in the mists?

or maybe some forged internals and lower compression pistons?

Re: Stillen vs. Vortech vs, ATI

One of you were saying the Stillen would go better with the sedan,I might have to agree. Here's my weired theory.
If you look at the sedans hood,it already has the 2 lines that go all the way down the hood. The bump for the SC kind of exagerates the lines on the hood. The coupes hood has only a little bend in the middle,so the bump gives the car new lines.
The funky hood sorta grew on me.It does attract attention(good&bad),whatever

Re: Stillen vs. Vortech vs, ATI

Wes, i think he meant that the sedan is more suited for the stillen SC just because it IS a sedan, and not at all for aesthetic reasons....
