Turbonetics Catless and O2 sensor

Does this kit cause problems with tripping the check engine light? This is day 2 with the kit installed and all seems well except the check engine light came onn tonight. The car seems to working well. Idle cruise and boost all seem to be working properly. Will I continue to get this error because I deleted the cats?

It was also pretty cold out, maybe around 35 degrees. Does the cold affect the turbo at all?

If you did not put in O2 sims, I would guess you will continue to get the light....

I didn't put in sims but the the exhaust pipe that the o2's go on, on this kit have the o2s sitting out of the stream of exhaust. Its almost like what others where doing to defeat the SEL with test pipes using the spark plug non foulers to space out the o2s. Maybe they they are not long enough?

I disconected the negative battery cable overnight to reset the pute. I took off the gas cap and put it back on just in case is was something stupid like that. So, I go out for a 25 mile spirited drive and no SEL. The car is operating great. IF my O2's were tripping an error would it trip right away? In the Turbonetics instruction manual it says that it is normal for the car to smoke and have a strange odor for the first hour or two due to the oils in the pipes burning off. Could that cause an error at the O2's and go away after it is burned away? Any thoughts or ideas.

^hah, I would comment but I havent installed mines yet. Are you sure it's your O2 that's tripping the SEL? Did you hook up scanneror did a self diagnostics?

The smoke and oil burning off the pipes shouldn't give you a SEL. Maybe check the code.

I threw a CEL a couple weeks after i had my kit. Misfire. Reset the ECU and it was gone.

No I haven't checked the codes yet. I just know of the problems associated with test pipes and since this kit deletes the cats maybe that was the problem. But when I looked at the how the sensors are mounted, they are hooked up just like how others were correcting the problem with the test pipes, by spacing them out from the pipe. The car seems to be running well so I guess I will just have to monitor it but I was wondering if anyone else had a similiar issue after going FI.

Check the code and let me know what it is. If its 0300 just disregard it. Most boosted cars get this code.

You need an obd2 scanner to find out if its a 0300 code? I had a C5 and it would give you the code if you threw one. Our G's don't do that do they?

If you cleared the codes (no SEL) then there's no codes that will come up.
