awe, I'm going to miss you G35_TX
I like reading your accurate up to date, detonating Sport Z dynos with buggy tunes/kits that everyone read 2 years ago I don't know where else I'll get modern accurate info from

I hate to beat a dead horse but...

My dyno has already been posted in this thread ... over 100 posts ago: reply #154

366rwhp/300rwtq @5.7psi ... 3.33 pulley on a dynojet, I also have a dynapak run that shows "chassis" hp.

I think that the point has been well made in this thread and then dragged on and on. Stillen makes a fine product that will give you more "M3 like" power from the VQ35DE without having to do anything other than installing the supercharger out of the box. This is great for people that aren't mod-crazy and just can't ever get enough.

A Vortech setup is a different beast and it has its pro's and con's as well but the potential is there to make much higher horsepower with additional mods.

Unfortunately this ended up turning into a pride fight from those that have already bought one kit or the other. G35_TX has brought a lot of valuable info into this discussion but there is one thing lacking there ... your car is still NA so you are not speaking from experience, just compiling numbers made from others.

To each his own, choose what you feel will be the best fit for you. Choose something that will be in your price range and never forget that when going aftermarket FI you always risk the chance of a blown engine.

Let's continue to learn from each other instead of bicker over petty things because you decided or are planning to go one route or another.

dammit, my deal for Stillen supercharger just fell through - Sukhi doesn't want to sell his, wants to keep it instead... i understand him, though... still, disappointed...

i *may* be able to get a used Vortech from a guy with 350z who's going twin-turbo. Rob at Z Car Garage mentioned that as an option to me. we'll see how much he'll want for the kit. but with vortech, i wouldn't feel comfortable going there without upgraded cams... which would add to the $$$.

so, i'm guessing...

Vortech kit, used - $3.5k + $1k install
Cams - $1k + 1k install

it'll be at least $7k... those extra $2k really kill me there... so broke... need to stop spending money on my car!!! but i want POWER... dammit...

dude, screw cams, get a 3.12 or even a 2.87 pulley

cams will put you up to around 450whp on a 3.12 pulley - you can reach that just as easy with a cheap 2.87 pulley.

you'll also need a return fuel kit and 550 injectors when you reach 450whp. My car is basically making 450whp right now if it can be driven to redline.

440 injectors aren't enough for 440 whp and higher on a SC (maybe a turbo though) .If I had 550 injectors, I might end up at 470whp as someone else had this happen with the injector increase. 440's cause you to start losing fuel pressure even at lowish rpms - which costs you some power even though you can get the A/F to be decent until 5500-6000 rpms

you want good fuel pressure and good A/F

I will be selling my set of 440's soon though...

Why not sell all that NA stuff you have that is useless with the Stillen and get a new setup? Plenum, Headers, and cats are all not useful with the Stillen anyways.

Hit up VRT, they get second hand Stillen systems every once in a while.

uh... no. the point of having cams is SAFE power. i will do everything i can to have safe power. yes, forgot to mention the injectors (more money) and maybe Walbro 255 pump (more money). this puts me close to $8k already...

i don't expect to have 450rwhp - not even 400rwhp. i would be just as happy with 375rwhp. very very very happy.
