Cmon Gman; youre killing yourself! 1) A vehicle w/ an off the shelf kit...vs. 2) a vehicle w/ said kit PLUS the following:

1) fully tuned EMS
2) headerback exhaust system
3) different fuel components (pump? injectors? )
4) boost turned up

is pretty much the same thing?

You could turn this example sour; but lets take a stock evo 8/9...

vs. an evo8/9 w/ test pipe and catback; 255 fuel pump; tuned EMS, and upgraded boost. It sure as hell would not be considered a stock evo; and would also put down much more hp/tq than a stock evo. The second evo would not be considered "off the shelf" by any means!

Keep in mind the fuel sytem and UTEC do not add power they just let you extract more safely. Regardless an out of the box greddy with a good tune can get you above 420whp and lots of tq to go with it.

hahah, I'm really considering the Stillen SC now but I'm happy that you guys resolved the Mullet haircut coz I'm not feeling that. It may match the hood but I dont think it will match my face (I'm not white)

Same goes here for the DFW area but I don't know of any Stillen G's here. There may be some Stillen blown 350Z cars in the area...

Driving home yesterday I paid very specific attention to my powerband in the lower RPM range and my car has PLENTY of power after 2500 RPM's and it continues to build through redline. This would have to be a rather lengthy test of roll-on races with another 6MT equipped car so the gearing is the same. I would love to see 3rd gear rolling starts from 2500 RPM side-by-side. This way traction and driver skill is not so much of an issue!

Anybody with a video camera and Stillen G ready? I am

Randy used to run his car out here at the track I run at. I just never ran into him before he went to texas.
I hope a n/a modded or a vortech in california steps up and wants to race. I'll video and post even if I lose.Only worry I have is a guy that has stripped his car down to save weight and claims his car is faster. Itll have to be a full interior, etc. no stripped race car with lexan windows.

With the lower number of FI cars here, I hope you take this challenge over to my350z if you are serious about going up against a vortech system.

There are video's of Randys_G but none that test what we are looking for here. I'm going to check the sticky thread here about Stillen SC G's and see if any are in DFW area...

Guys this is getting a bit out of hand. Stop debating you can go back and forth all day. I would like people to address my questions instead of getting into a contest. We are all fellow G owners we are all part of the same family.

Anyway.
I was reading stuff about a hood spacer. Does that clear the Stillen S/C? I would rather do something like that than have the hood (for cost and for looks). I think it looks pretty cool.

So, what about the hood spacer because I think I'm going to go Stillen S/C Stage 2. Do you guys think I should purchase the warrenty? If not, I could go Stage 3. Any blown engines on Stage 3 or is that safe too?

+1 ^ on the debate and all family here.

Regards the Stage II... If you are going to stay stage II for a while and if you are going to have a certified mechanic do the install, then all mean, please buy the warranty. Its like $260 for a 3 yr or 36,000 mile warranty. Not bad in my opinion.

But if you get the Stage II and still want more power and can't wait the 3yr or 36000 mile warranty, then don't get the warranty. For me, I am taking the chance that I will be happy for a while with the stage II, so I got the warranty. I hope that helps.

will the warranty cover the entire engine or just the block?

Block, thru a third party warranty company, and does not cover any labor.

you have to use a stillen hood, that spacer i think is the one that raises the back of the hood to allow hot air out.

NO offense to Nissan, but Nissan is not even close to Engine Technology compare to Honda.

I haven't seen any 4 Banger Nissan that can hold 900whp and break the 9 sec bar. My friend has 4 banger 750whp and always on the 10's Daily driven!

LOL sorry but no honda can do 750whp without a complete engine build. SR20DE is the bullet proof engine and Nissan has made engines better than Honda for many years.
