Bustin' thru 300whp with nitrous

Did some dyno runs today to tune it up before the track tomorrow. We swapped out 3-4 different sized fuel jets on a 100 hp nitrous jet to get the safest tune across the RPM band from 3500-6500.

Ended up with 324 whp and 372 ft/lbs torque

try at 52/31 setup.

BTW, what was your non-nitrous baseline dyno?

My baseline w/o N2O was 243 HP and 233 Torque on a DynoJet.

Good news. Be sure to let me know how you run. Where are you running here at? If it's LACR, plan to see a mid 13 run...anywhere else, low 13.

Man. Your A/F ratio goes down like crazy. It's already at 12 by 4k and dips below 10 at the top end. I bet you can get much more hp if you can get that back up to 12.

That is running the stock tune correct, you are just playing with the fuel jet. 100 wet shot seems to work pretty good. You have plenty left in it with a proper tune. Get the A/F flat around 11.5 and she will be happy.

something is odd about this dyno graph.

HP is a mathematical computation of Torque at a given RPM.

HP=(TQ x RPM) / 5252

no matter what, the HP and the TQ curves will always cross at 5252.

The curves cross at about 4600 on the above graph.

Yer right about that crossover, I'm gonna have to check the rest of the runs.

The all motor pull was 235hp

Aight, I fixed the graph, I did something with the WinPep software that had hosed the display up. This is with the all motor run and the 100 shot.

Also, the 52/31 setup for Nitrous/Fuel jets didn't get down to 12.0 fast enuff for my satisfaction. It pulled 327 hp with the 31 fuel jet and 324 hp with the 35 jet, so I would rather be a little rich in A/F and safe

give audiblemayhem a PM, he used to run an NX setup on his auto sedan. I think he was trapping around 109 (in florida air). He was running the 52 Nitrous pill, but I think he was using a 28?? for fuel.

I have only ever gotten a single clean run (clutch problems) using a 52/31 setup. it went 13.0 @ 110.5. mine is an '05 6MT though

Had to watch the girl today so I didn't make it to the track

I did manage to get the second coat of wax on it tho

The car is gonna be down for a year startin' in June, I'll be in Korea. Looks like a good time to do a valve-body upgrade on the tranny and save some cash for superchargin' next summer.
