NEED HELP with SUPERCHARGING MY G35

i have a 2004 G35 coupe. i want to supercharge it but do not know if the tranny will hold? i need to know what i should buy so the supercharger will be safe and ok for my car. i was told i need to get headers, intake, exsaust and that would be enough? help please, thanks

I don't know if you actually need intake, headers, and exhaust to supercharge your car. Those items may just bring a smidge more horsepower to your car. If you just want decent power (330-360whp), just supercharge the stock motor and leave everything else the same. You will have a nice bump in power and be relatively safe with a decent tune (you will probably need a piggyback or Engine Management System for safe boost).

As for the tranny are you MT or AT? If AT, you will probably need to get some stronger internals (levelten.com). If MT, then you're tranny should hold up okay. May just need a better clutch and flywheel. Overall, the tranny will exhibit more stress than normal which is always a risk. Good Luck.

boost

how much boost? i heard only 6-8 to keep my car safe and ok. and if anyone has links to certain parts for the internals, that are best for the car. can you send them this way.

I will say 10~12 is ok, long as you have a right setup and right tune

Power is going to be there, even later will easy to pull more.
I would save more for ems and rfs, Standalone is expensive, but it will save you in future. Also rfs, atleast get a stage 0, that also help you in many headche.

Some says it not needed if you not looking for big power, BUT you will always want go more.

If you are a 5at stay away from levelten as they are a bunch of idiots when it comes to our trans.You need to talk to GTM or ForgedPerformance.

Anyone have any reviews or opinions on the SFR twin turbo kit for the 06 g35 coupe. I was considering getting it since i see it can be used in the AT models

It looks pretty promising, depends on the power you are looking for. I like t3/t4 hybrid turbos because it has the good characteristics of both types. I say I would rather have a supercharger instead of any turbo setup for an AT car.

ya people say both on terms of SC or TT but i saw a couple things about the SC that turned me to TT, but i guess its all opinions. I just want to make sure to others that the kit looks (spec wise) worthy to buy.

Well its a bit pricey for a kit thats using turbonetics.
