I just filed my complaint to Infiniti regarding the 'feathering' of the front tires. I replace my tires 6months/13k ago and they need replacing already. At $250+ each, it's getting expensive. Maybe if enough people call, they will issue a TSB and Infiniti will address the issue. The number is 1-800-662-6200.

To those who don't know feathering is when the tires wear unevenly. The problem is caused by the cars suspension, but it is mostly prevelent on the 350z's hence the reason I got rid of it and into the G35 at Nissans expense. 03 6MT I feel your pain, but unfortunately this problem is not as prevelent on this car as it is on the 350z. Good luck with your complaints to Infiniti, maybe reference them to the my350z.com site with the numerous posts of the problem.

I bet you all have the sport suspension........ I had the same problem I had to change out the tires at 10K. I believe its the tires... You are probably running on bridgestone tires which run a 140 tread wear count which is extremely soft. I switched out to Toyo t1R that has a tread count of 280 and they are running fine after 15k so far. Also a lot of people think they are going to get 60K out of low profile tire when the most you can get out of them is 20-25k max.

Treadwear Grades
UTQG Treadwear Grades are based on actual road use in which the test tire is run in a vehicle convoy along with standardized Course Monitoring Tires. The vehicle repeatedly runs a prescribed 400-mile test loop in West Texas for a total of 7,200 miles. The vehicle can have its alignment set, air pressure checked and tires rotated every 800 miles. The test tire's and the Monitoring Tire's wear are measured during and at the conclusion of the test. The tire manufacturers then assign a Treadwear Grade based on the observed wear rates. The Course Monitoring Tire is assigned a grade and the test tire receives a grade indicating its relative treadwear. A grade of 100 would indicate that the tire tread would last as long as the test tire, 200 would indicate the tread would last twice as long, 300 would indicate three times as long, etc.
The problem with UTQG Treadwear Grades is that they are open to some interpretation on the part of the tire manufacturer because they are assigned after the tire has only experienced a little treadwear as it runs the 7,200 miles. This means that the tire manufacturers need to extrapolate their raw wear data when they are assigning Treadwear Grades, and that their grades can to some extent reflect how conservative or optimistic their marketing department is. Typically, comparing the Treadwear Grades of tire lines within a single brand is somewhat helpful, while attempting to compare the grades between different brands is not as helpful.
if this is correct, the 140 treadwear on the bridgestones works out to be roughly 10,080 miles
my stock 19's have about 9,500 miles on them and are about ready for a new set, so what i am saying is that tires are not infiniti's responsibility to replace unless there is some major issue with the cars alignment from the assembly line

But they definitely 'heard' about it.
