There are some really shady infiniti dealers out there. Kind of surprising. Luxury division dealers acting like private used car dealers.

MotherF***rs that's why I hate dealing with the stealership...and I had done my 60k service like a week ago at R&D Factory and the stupid dealer did an inspection and said I needed the 60k service..I laughed in my head when he said that...thanks for the heads up bro..

it's only the beginning, Tsb says one oil change then measurement. Do not let car out of your sight when you go back. Insist it stays in the staging area and tests are done with you there. bring your own ruler. If they tried to charge you for the oil change to start the test they are looking to deny you.

Read the tsb and don't let them deviate. Verify their readings in front of them, don't let them put anything other than what you saw on the work order as far as readings go and definately watch out for the dump a quart in top off and not say anything on the test about it.

They get to measure, they don't get to add oil unless it is a case where you are approved for a new engine and they are just adding until the new long block gets there.

My friend and I were in stop-n-go traffic today on the way from firsco, so i saw this infiniti dealership off the freeway, and told my buddy to stop over.

I walked around for a bit and brought up the OC problem with the MT's and they flat out denied it; said they heard nothing of the sort... never replaced any engines...nothing.

I was hoping to speak to these openly, and truthfully about my circumstances regarding how this would go about being fixed since it's a used vehicle, but I'm guessing these guys are full of ****...

Shady Dealers?

I still don't get why the dealers would be all shady or dense about this? Should we ask to see the measurement after the oil change, and then at the conclusion of the test? I wouldn't have expected games from them!

What's Engine Difference Between M/T and A/T engines

Is the oil consumption issue only with the M/T engines? Why should there be a difference in engines due to different transmissions??

Thanks

It's only SOME of the Rev-up motors. Mine has 82K on it and I use a 1/2 quart in 7500 miles.

What about part number for 03 5AT's? Bare long block not offered from my source.

OEM part number look-up:

V35 FYI:
The, # 10102-AC3M1 engine that was installed in my G was for a 6sp manual!(?)

Here is the end run: @ 2500mi on the new engine, and its breaking in strong. I added: Stillen exhaust, ACT SS clutch, AEM CAI, adjustable Cobb Tuning (for PCM). The Mods are cool. Stillen, AEM, Cobb: Awesome! ACT clutch has great performance, but noisy!

Buy the way V35, all that noise...was...coming from the ACT clutch.

i went to Riverside Infiniti and whenever I went back to get my oil level checked, they ALWAYS top it off. This does NOT make sense since they are measuring by the millimeters, and a little more oil they put in can make the difference of whether I get a new engine. I'm almost at my 70k mark and they said my oil was only 19mm low or something so my engine is "fine".

Be Careful Here!

Legal help is available. I would suggest you make it known to Infiniti that you are prepared to take action if necessary. Review my past post and you will find the links. If you have any questions, let me know.

Not according to that oem part look-up link I gave. Don't know what else to say.

Good to hear breaking-in strong and liking your mods.
