Everyone: Check Your Oil!

^Heard of G/Z revup people getting new trannies too occasionally in past. Mine was fine at swap time and still is with 40K miles on it. Some have that wine noise or it's found input shaft bearing going/gone or syncro(s) ng = warranty replacement as well.
Revup used for non revups, interesting for non revups owners. Wonder if they are still using the G non rev pt# 10102-AM8M1 and get a new ECU with that. Otherwise I could see a revup short block with non rev heads during assembly. Then stockpiled in distribution warehouse along with #10102-AC7M9 G revup long blocks. Z's have different pt#'s with their rev and non rev's.
Wish you the best with your fresh VQ and tranny.

Hey, I had Infinity put an ACT (SS)clutch/flywheel combo in during engine install. Now I am getting a raspy trans sound like a very bad TO Bearing. Listening with mechanical stethoscope on the trans it sounds like trans rear main bearing. Any ideas? Or have you heard of noise problems with ACT clutch/flywheel?
See YA,

Again, thanks for the reply. FYI: part #10102-AC3M1 (ENGINE-BARE). Here is the trip: there is no transmission change notes on my Infinity invoice at all?

Heard many aftermarket clutch/fly with rattling sounds like idling in neutral, etc. Nature of those beasts without dual mass flys like OEM's. Nismo I read is real loud.
Not a clue really about tranny noises, being no personal experience. just what I've read. Think I've read a case or two with rear output shaft as well as what I've already mentioned prior.

Let ya know!
Thanx for the updated pt #. No notes on tranny replaced, nice gift from dealer I guess lol.

FYI Non Revup Owners:
Part number I had is still valid. Part number 'tim' gave is valid too. Here's why.
# 10102-AM8M1 = 03-04 6MT's only.
# 10102-AC3M1 = 04-07 5AT's only.
What about part number for 03 5AT's? Bare long block not offered from my source.
OEM part number look-up:

For those people looking to buy cars with this potential problem... is there anything, off the lot, that they can look for? Under the hood, etc? I'm actually in the market for this particular year... and I'm tryin to listen to some dealers bs.
Thanks
Thanks
Check the muffler there may b alot of black soot, take it to mechanice get motor check thats about all u can do...good luk
Just got back from Glendale Infiniti to request an oil consumtion test..I had to pay for an oil change and they said I have to go back 4 times...so that means I have to pay for an oil change each time..who here has gone to glendale infiniti for the OC issue???
go back and rip the service manager a new one for thinking you are stupid, then call infiniti customer care and report what they did.
There are some really shady infiniti dealers out there. Kind of surprising. Luxury division dealers acting like private used car dealers.
