changing INFINITI to SKYLINE???
You are 100% correct the legal documents rePresent the name of the car!! the name of the car is an Infiniti G35 I am glad we agree on it.
Yes. Just like how an I30 and a Maxima are the same. Like how a Camry and a Lexus ES are the same. Or like how the MDX and the Pilot are the same. They may look and feel a bit different, but they are essentially the same as the next.
qft
Lol, no. I imported this car because the v35, g35, whatever you want to call it, was never released in Australia. So yes I guess I am a little bit unique around here. the only markup on these cars are the ones with Infiniti badges and Im not completely against putting some on in the future. I'm no skyline or Nissan fan boy, I just really like this car.
It's interesting reading this topic. I'm from Australia and here we did not get the skyline or the g35 (Infiniti not sold here, coming 2012 apparently). We do however import the Nissan Skyline from Japan through private import yards. I used to work at one and got my V35 350GT coupe (G35) from there.
Mine came with Infiniti G35 badging front and rear, they do this sometimes in Japan, just like I see some of you guys swap your infinti badges for nissan. I can understand why they would rebadge nissan to infiniti as infiniti is seen as Nissans upmarket brand. Like Lexus. And I'm especially happy mine came with Infiniti badging as
A: I like the look of the logo better and B: this car is quite rare in this country and the logo that not many have seen before also adds to the exclusivness of it. And a few other reasons but they'll do for now.
But I dont understand why you would want to put Skyline badges on your G35s. I suppose its just to be different, like why we and the japs put G35 badges on our Skylines.

Which is irrelevant in our case. Unless someone is ignorant enough to think different engine covers means something.
You wouldn't even have an argument for the 300GT, the Sedan in 2000. Exactly the same, just a different motor.
The main reason people do it here is because it is apart of the Skyline heritage. It may not have an RB, but it was still designed and manufactured in the same place.
If you have an auto, then I'm sorry. But this car which ever name you think it deserves, is amazing. Of course its on the heavy side, but I feel the tradition of Nissan sports cars every time I drive it, and that's not just the 6MT talking.

And then there's the whole JDM thing.
But then again, my cars are debadged...

Im gonna rebadge my plasma TV from Toshiba to Samsung since they own 51% and 49% of the company. Its the same thing right???
Might as well tell my friends I own a Samsung cuz I dont like Toshiba and its just more expensive....
Holy f*ck!!! Ive never heard so many DUMB f*cking answers about trying to change the make/manufacturer of something you bought.

Might as well cut your springs right after you put Nissan badges on your Infiniti... I never really use the word "ricer" but Jesus H.... rebadging is prob at the #1 spot for ricing out anyones car.

And if they own 51% and 49% of a company, then they own 100%, which still means your post is still irrelevant and pointless.
BTW, you prove my point about drinking with a pinky in the air. Who gives a f*ck about what kind of TV you have at home???

So G2FLIP4 IS THIS ^^^^^^^^^^ "RICE" ? Plz tell me. Bcuz by the comments this was arguably the hottest Coupe on here for a minute!!
Same thing as some 16 yr old putting Acura badges on his Civic.
Just makes no sense to buy something and then tell other people you own something its not....

Just make no sense that some people believe Infiniti is really upscale and isn't a rebadged Nissan.
You should change out all the Nissan parts in your G to Infiniti parts.
