Gas Gauge WEIRDNESS !
Does anyone have any weird problems about their Gas Gauge on their cluster, like I filled up full tank, drive it around ,so by the mid end of the week i have half a tank or so, then the next morning i turn on my car ,its like 1/4 or even LESS ! WTF? is my little bobber in the gas tank not floating right ?
THIS THREAD IS FOR OUR G35s that do not read gas accurately on the Gauge, Directions are below FYI- You are saving yourself $400+ by doing this first. If youre going to do this repair, be careful to reset the o-ring back into the grooves or else gas will escape and make your car smell bad. When disconnecting the gas from the passenger side sensor / fuel hose, you will expect a little spillage so make sure you DONT do this on a full tank. GOOD LUCK

For those looking for a cheaper parts source for the Sensor Fuel Tank O-ring, i found these sites that sell it for less compared to the 3x dealers i called which were in the range of $19 to 21$ per 1.

Carefully lift the unit up. There is a long metal arm holding the float unit. Where the arm connects to the main body is a little board that you can use a q-tip to clean. Mine didn't look dirty until I wiped it with the q-tip, but hopefully that is where the problem is, because there is not a whole lot else going on on this thing.
The passenger side unit includes the fuel pump, so its a little harder. You have to squeeze the tabs at the end of the fuel line, then push it off. Keep the rag handy as fuel WILL come out if there is any residual pressure.
Then pull the unit out carefully, as its a pretty tight fit. The metal arm and cleaning spot are the same as the other side, though this piece is a bit more unweildy.
Be careful not to lose the o-ring in the tank! Replace and good luck. If this works, its a pretty easy fix <fingers crossed>. Only took about 20-30 minutes.

Have the same issue here. One time I filled up with the low gas light on and noticed I only put in some 13-14 gallons. Dosen't our tank hold 20gals? I can't imagine 6 whole gallons sitting in the tank somewhere.
Another time I filled up till the pump clicked and got in the car and noticed it wasn't even at "F" !!!
