Okay.. the codes that I got are P0223, P1102, and P1224

Car won't go past 2200 RPMs

P0223 - Throttle Position Sensor 1 Circuit High Input
P1102 - Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit Range / Performance Problem
P1224 - Throttle Position Sensor 2 Circuit High Input

What exactly can I do to fix these issues? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

P0340 = bad passenger side cam position sensor (right hand side)
P0345 = bad driver side cam position sensor (left hand side)

Passenger Side = Straight Connector
part number CSS1594

Driver Side = Angled Connector
part number CSS1595

I bought the replacement sensor from Kragen for $54.

To replace the passenger side sensor and the only tools I used were a 10mm socket to remove engine cover, 10mm combination wrench to remove the sensor bolt, and a pair of channel locks to release the connector from the sensor. It took me about 30 mins mainly due to the tight working space at the back of the engine and figuring out the connector.

I had a little trouble figuring out how the connector releases, so I snapped a pic so that maybe someone else wouldn't have the same issue. To release the connector, you have to push the release tab in towards the sensor. I put the jaws of my channel locks where the arrows are in the photo below and it came off real easy.

The FSM says to use fresh engine oil to lube the o-ring included on the new sensor.
Thanks for this post. It helped me immensely. My car was starting hard when it was warm and today it just quit driving down the road. Left it cool for 10 minutes and was able to get it started and made it home. Checked the code and got P0430. Replaced that camshaft module and it worked. Took 30 minutes. Thanks again.

Hi everyone, first post here.

I had an '03 350z before I got my 03 G35 6mt coupe, and it had about 120k miles and did the exact same thing that you are talking about. For me, the power would die at about 3000 rpms and all of the lights would come on, along with the hard starts. After running a diagnostics tests and doing some research on the my350z forums, I found out that the passenger side cam sensor was the cause of this. I purchased a new sensor to replace, but after removing it, I saw that it was covered in oil so i cleaned it up a little bit and tried it again. It seemed to fix the problem entirely (for some months at least).

This thread may be old and dead but just in case, I am sharing my wisdom. Hope it can benefit someone on here.

It never REALLY came back... it began to have a few hard starts here and there so every couple months I would just clean it up. I figure there must be a busted valve or seal thats letting in the oil.

The Cam sensor sits inside the head where there is oil, so it is normal to have oil on it. Replacing the sensor will work and keep the intermittent problem from happening. It's a common problem. Also, make sure you clean your Throttle Body. It will make a world of difference.

2005 G35 Coupe Automatic 53,000 miles All stock.

I had a similar issue today.
Car ran perfect, park in a space that sank very low on the driver side...car started right up but would not move. Had no power. RPM stayed in the same spot even when revving the gas. ended up letting the car pull itself out of the parking lot and coast under idle rpm to a better location (to get towed) 2 blocks away.
Originally I started the car at least 4 times in the parking lot and had all the same signs VDC, SLP, Service Engine soon lights.
Once I coasted out the parking lot and pulled over a few blocks down (on level ground) it started up with only the Service engine light on.

I made it home and car felt like nothing was wrong.
I assumed it was based on me having 7,000 miles on my current synthetic oil lol.
When I got home I check and I was almost a quart low (hair under low level line) I added the oil and check all the other fluids under the hood...all was well.

Started the car again after adding oil and the Service Engine light is still on.

I am not sure if I should try to order the parts or let a good shop I use check it for me. Money is tight and cant waste the cash.

So that is my story so far....I have never been stranded like this. I brought my car new in 2005 and had no issues ever.

side note....I did leave the key on last week and drained the battery. I disconnected it and did a slow 2am charge. It work and been running fine until today.

This is my first post and I am here because of the same or very similar issue. My car is having the same issue. I got the same code, P0340, and after I replaced the camshaft sensor it still is an issue. Sometimes my car will start quickly and easily like it should. My "check engine" light would be on, but not my VDC off and slip lights. I will drive for sometimes a few minutes, sometimes less and my car will stall. I'll try to start it and it will struggle, but once it starts up it runs fine, but all 3 lights are on. The camshaft sensor didn't fix this issue and neither did a full tune up. I heard someone say it may be an issue with my car's computer. Any other thoughts on this would be very much appreciated.
