I have around $35k CAD total to spend, i don't think i can find a used G37 for this price in Vancouver, BC. I was planning to buy this imported G37 from USA on craig's for $33k CAD + tax, but my dad said it's not safe buying a car from out of my country? So is it safe buying a car that came from the US if im in Canada? This car is mainly for getting to school (1.5hr bus/skytrain to school, + another 1.5hr back). This will be my first car, so it has to be automatic... I don't have time to learn to drive manual and i'm lazy even though i know its funner and faster.

I also want to know how much faster/slower is the genesis coupe 3.8 compared to the g35, cz i dont want to be beaten by a hyundai if the time ever comes at a stoplight. I'm probably going to spend ~$6000(Changed from $1000) on mods within the first 2 months if i get a g35. My budget grew a little, but g37's in Canada are still $39k + tax and fees + their not white/black + these are '08's.

Also, in Canada, i'm not sure why the prices are like this but 27000 seems to be the lowest for a g35 with 40,000km. I'm pretty sure i can negotiate a bit and get $2k off...right?

Used 2008 G37 from the US <- No longer want this, it's stock and seller is shady. Car has been on the site for over a year! (Saw this car a year ago.)
New Genesis Coupe 3.8 Automatic- ~$33000 + tax (Not liking the brand, pushing the limit, not liking some areas of the car...)

I've finally found a great deal (compared to other deals i've found) at a dealership today, a local fully loaded (that's the cheapest g35 that was on sale in canada) w/ spoiler '06 G35 coupe AT with 45,000KM for $26,500 + tax + saving half the fees (half of $1k: $500) including a set of brand new set of tires (apparently $1500+, current tires are bald), full interior/exterior detailing, new battery, oil/filters changed and a bunch of other touch-ups and repairs that were found necessary by inspection (their own inspection + my third party inspection).
Another + is that it comes with warranty from the dealership!
Only - is that i might have to pick this up a few days later... Can't wait! My first car!

*Update #3* (NOV.28)
Car delayed again -.- Their getting Infiniti to fix some parts of the car (headlights recall, and some other minor parts they found worn out from inspection)

First mods that i planned out to get in the first 2 weeks w/ the extra cash: windows tinted 35% in front, 20% in the back. 5/16 MD plenum spacer, JWT pop charger, grounding kit, z-tube by stillen, fast intention exhaust ss, smoked tail lights, clear corners, eibach lowering springs, greddy side skirts, kenstyle rear, kurumaZ front (or top secret or greddy).

 

You definitely can get a used 2006 G35 coupe for close to 20k (out of the door)

27k + tax is waaaaaaay too much

 

That's the lowest i've seen... i live in Canada, btw.

 

I say the 2006 G35 since it seems like you can afford it more and you would have to sell your computer to buy the other cars.

and personally.. i bought an auto 07 coupe for $23k with 32k miles... canadian cars can't be THAT far off

 

How basic is the base g37 from the US? What is it missing from the one i get from Canada? All i know is that, it's even missing the sunroof... what else is it missing?

And i don't think i can get a 2007 g35 for a good price, 2006 seems to be identical to 2007 too.

 

I am buying a 06 G35 coupe myself next week. I have 3 in my area... similar miles and all of them are under 20k internet price.

I am sure I can get that down to around 19k out of the door.

Try looking around a bit more - Am sure you should get a deal soon!

Im planning to get either an '06 G35 coupe for $24k + tax with 43k KM on it, or look for a modded g35 coupe for ~$25k. Was about to pull the trigger today on a '04 g35 coupe with full body kit and rims and etc., but i didn't feel comfortable paying all in cash and seller seems shady.
