I haven't had a fun car to drive in about 8 years. I recently bought a used 2007 G35x for my wife and it is really fun to drive and I love it. Meanwhile I'm still stuck in my 2003 F150 SuperCrew, which does its job but is no fun to drive at all. None.

I have found a used red 2007 G35s with about 45k miles on it for $21,000. One owner, clean Car Fax. It does not have the technology package which is fine and it does not have Nav which is fine too since I hate the Nav system in our current G35. I think the MT will be way more fun to drive than my wife's automatic and I think the price is decent. I can probably talk them down a little.

My question is this: If you had 21k and wanted something fun to drive (preferrably with 4 doors) what else would you buy other than this G35s? I considered a Nissan 350z but I'm tall and not sure I will fit and plus it isn't very practical from a space standpoint. A G35 coupe might be okay but I doubt I can find an '07 for that good a price.

The Z you prob would fit they are low. I just recently bought a g35 coupe and I am obsessed with it.... Can't stop driving it and thinking about what i want to do with it. The GF is probably going to kill me . If you are looking for a car thats decent priced and all around awesome the G35s is prob for you. Although def would talk them down a bit... I paid 25.6 for my coupe with 23k miles on it and fully loaded. 6MT aswell.

Oh the reason i did not go with a Z is because they are MUCH louder inside the car and a 2 seater is ehh...

05-07 G's w/6mt's and 05-06 Z's w/6mt's: Check for oil consumption. Those have the revup VQ's.

An early or late 90's M3 would be a fun car for well under $20k and can be found w/4 doors.

Two-doors are where the fun really is though -
Not particularly practical but a gently used Miata would be great fun too.
You can even pick up a used S2000 for under $20k.

I believe he's talking about an 07 sedan which would have the HR motor. No oil consumption to worry about in that case.

g35 or m3/m5. Not a fan of overpriced hs rice rockets in the rsx. Even the type s isn't anything to boast about, and that mt is the worse Ive ever driven. Rx8 is another nice option, has the appeal of a 4dr with the handling of a coupe. The only reason I got my g over the rx8 was the rotary engine and they wouldn't drop the price.
