Rear rotors all rusted
So I just purchased new back brakes and rotors....and after a week, my back rotors are completely rusted. It makes the car look like crap. I dont know a real lot about cars, so my question is...its this normal, do all rotors rust? Are there a certain type of rotors that I can buy that wont rust?

Rotors are made from Iron so yes they will rest. the ones that do not rust are either zinc coated or have their bells painted.
All is not lost though. Take off your wheels, use some sanding paper to take off the surface rust and spray on some high temp paint onto the bells and you'll be good to go

i dont know...when i wash my car, I used a steel sponge to take a lot of the rust off...and in no time, they are back to being all rusted again. It makes the car look terrible. I live in NJ, but when the weather gets nicer, I am going to just get new rotors, ones that wont rust. It sucks that I just paid for these, but it makes the car look like too ugly, so I just have to buy Rotors that wont rust.
Wil I be ok if i buy OEM rear rotors? because these are after market ones and I have no idea what brand these rotors are.

everyone will recommend using sometihng like dupli-color or VHT hi temperature paint
I personally think the distinction between Dupli-color and VHT's hi temp paint and their regular enamel paint is a crock of BS since they're chemical description on their website states both types of paints have the same boiling temp
I personally went to walmart, got a can of BBQ hi temp paint for $2 and sprayed the hates and drill wholes and slots. don't worry about over spray on the surface of the rotors, the brake pads will burn any over spray off the first time u apply the brakes

i dont know, I didnt buy them...i took my car to a mechanic that I have taken too before...and he got them...i didnt think i would have to tell him not to get rotors that rust within 2 days...but apparently i was wrong.
so what is the process? I have to take off all my wheels...do i have to take dissasemble the rotors also? and what color and im painting the rotors?
would it be easier to just get new rotors?

You could try DIY coating the NON-friction surfaces with paint (mask off where the pads contact the rotor.
Problem solved when I got rear Stoptech slotted rotors (1-piece) that are coated black in the center section and inner vents. The only place that can rust is the friction area and the pads clean that off after a little bit of driving. Still look good after a couple New England winters.

What part of the rotor specifically is rusted? The area the pads make contact with or the rotor 'hat'??? Take a pic if you don't know which part is which.
If it's the braking surface, short of going with a higher quality rotor, you'll continue to get rust if the car sits in a humid environment. The rust gets worn off by the pads as soon as you drive the car for a few miles or less.
