So just polish them as best I can then spray over with clear coat/lacquer?
Would I need to rough the surface with say 2000 grit paper to help the clear cling?

I'd recommend taking them to a shop with professional clear. There might be some good commercially available clear out there but I can't recommend one bcuz I have no clue. I know from reading here the guys that have had it done by a shop report years of no issues.

Just go to an automotive shop and buy the product designed to be a self applied clear. Or order from Amazon. Have had several friends and even family members do this and has worked for a few years. Just give it a go with some sandpaper , a small progression like 800, 1000, 2000 and then polish + clear

Anyone know where I can get hardware for a 1/2 intake spacer? Tried motordyne but 70 bucks for screws and spacers is a bit steep lol

There's a sticky that has bolt length measurements. But won't find replacement spacers anywhere very easily. Easier to just buy the hardware from motordyne though.

Got a diffuser off eBay, gotta stick to my ricer status. The picture doesn't do is justice, but the fins are like 5", they're huge. I like this style better than the "Nismo" simply because it looks more aggressive. Putting it on next weekend. Yeet.

Pressed the OEM bushings out and Armstrong ones in at university yesterday
Fitted the compression rods back to the car today.
Went for a quick drive and the improvement is obvious, everything feels tighter. Half of it is the poly and I imagine half of it is simply because the old bushings were torn. The car doesn't wander off as much, less pulling on rough road/changing lanes, direct steering feel. The front end seems a little stiffer - same feeling you'd get running stiffer springs.

All good so far, no noises too which was a major concern.
Alignment is scheduled for this week...

Oh also, you can see there I used pvc pipe when pressing the oem bushings out. They really aren't that difficult to press out once you have a good press but my car is also a FL car so very little rust or corrosion to speak of.
