What did you do to the G today?

So I decided to adjust my Chinese headlights last night. There is absolutely no phucking way to adjust these things when they are on the car, but after doing some research it seems like even the OEM's have the same problem. Anyway, I had to cut out sections of the plastic shroud to get access to the adjustment screws. I removed the intake box and coolant and power steering bottles to get access.
Theres an adjuster for up/down and another for left/right, but good luck figuring those out since they both seem to move the light up and down and slightly left and right. After about an hour of fiddling with it, I managed to get the beam somewhat OK. The cutoffs are OK but the beams have a weird shape to them. I will mess with them some more on another day when I come across a long dark road....but theye alright for now.

Yeah I already assumed that before I bought the lights. If they sucked really bad I definitely wouldnt have kept em. But Im sure I can get it a bit better after I mess with em some more. Ima stick with these for the moment. Once they die then I'll probably upgrade to something of more quality.

Changed out the wiper blades on both of our cars. Happened 3 weeks ago but wanted to wait to give us some time to use them and see how they performed in a number of conditions. I've been a Bosch Icon fan for many years but after reading reviews on the internet from Amazon and elsewhere decided to bite the bullet and try these:
A pair costs around or a little less than a single Icon and so far they rock! The GTO has not the best wiper arms out there and a pretty crappy washer nozzle set-up so effectiveness of the Icons wasn't the best but the Aero's clean far better than the Bosch. Time will tell about longevity but based on the reviews I'm hoping they last as long as the Icons. Ignore the warning from Amazon they don't fit 05-06 G sedans, they are an exact replacement.....

Started looking at possible replacement cars for the G, so of course a transmission cooler hose bursts on my wife's Armada, spraying a trail of tranny fluid halfway across the neighborhood leading up to our house. So guess who's getting a new car? Hint: not me. You guys are stuck with me, might actually get 300k out of the G after all.

No warning light for a tranny cooler line blowing unfortunately
Yay you are hanging onto the G for a little while longer.
