What did you do to the G today?
Me too! Woke up to the base-tune email, re-flashed and data-logged for my morning commute. Car feels MUCH smoother and noticeably quicker. The driving experience was slightly skewed trying to clutch with the OBD gizmo poking my shin every time I tried to shift, but I can't wait to really soak it all in on my commute home c:
Exactly lol. From when I got my base tune last night until now, I've already been sent 3 different tune files. Seymore4 ftw!!!
Btw, which maps do people recommend? It came with performance, valet (45 mph and 3000 RPM), and anti theft (idle too low to start).
I'm thinking:
Power
Economy
Valet
Anti-Theft
1500 RPM limit launch control (auto G).
Im auto so ARC features weren't worth it.

Honestly I've only ever used 2 maps, tune and valet. It's admittedly hilarious to hear my car bounce off the 3k rev limiter the handful of times I've used valet for parking. If I care about gas mileage, I'll just drive it easier instead of trying to remember to switch maps.
I accidentally double clicked engine speed when I started data logging, so my first logs were all useless hahaha. Seymore4 shot me an email back within 5 minutes saying I'd need to send new logs, but it was awesome that he checked them that quickly. Very happy with the service so far!
As for maps I think I'll be doing: power, eco, valet, anti-theft. I didn't get the ARC license either as I didn't really see myself using it, and I get a certain joy out launching 'manually'. I'll leave it in power mode 90% of the time, but I do hour+ freeway trips once or twice a month so I figured eco mode would be worth a try.
I took a long lunch at work today and was planning on getting more maps, but I ended up having to run a work errand that required a truck bed, so I didn't get to play with my G :c

Story Time: I got a 'no front plate' ticket in July of last year for which the officer cited RCW.xxx.xxx.xx.b, I looked up the RCW (revised code of WA), and the 'b' section of the law stated it was illegal to display an 'altered or disfigured' license plate, whereas section 'a' was the one saying it was illegal not to display a front plate. Conveniently, the citation for an altered plate is ~ $80 higher than no plate. I requested a contested hearing and discovery (officers sworn statement) and told the judge 'the officer's sworn statement said he pulled me over for not display a front plate, but he cited me for a disfigured plate' to which the judge replied '.... yep, case dismissed'.

Double check the specific codes he cited on the ticket.

I ended up making a little bracket to hold the place, and ziptie-ing the bracket onto the front bumper between the two lower mesh intake things (06 sport sedan bumper)
