Dang dude nice work.

I got some rubbing compound because a local cat decided to hide from a dog on top of my car... scratches all over the side.

Took a stab at some advice I got from a pro wrapper and picked up a used household steamer and cleaned the wrap on my roof. The wrap (avery sw900) is a little over a year old and the black was looking a little dull even after washes (thanks florida)...but we're back to glossy black and some of the imperfections from bird poop and sap "healed". Was worried about the vinyl lifting, but it wasn't really an issue, but it is interesting using steam on a 100 degree day.

Also picked up some used PDR tools off a friend in the biz who was upgrading and I'm ready to attend the university of utube. I have a ton of dents and dings on my truck that I will be using as my learning space before I attempt to pull the dings in the G's rear fenders.

Speaking of wrap, I was tired of the silver fading and scratching on the door pulls so I wrapped them. I like the look. I intend to next wrap the side panels of the rear body on the inside where the perforated faux leather inserts used to be before they bubbled up and I pulled them off.

@JZ39 looks way better than the worn/scratched titanium silver

Would be curious to see how the rear quarter panel inserts turn out.

Love the look, what wrap is that? The CF wrap I have is matte and wouldn't look half as good in that location.

VVIVID Epoxy High Gloss Black Carbon Vinyl Automotive Wrap Film DIY Easy to Install No Mess (1ft x 5ft)

from Amazon.

I’ll post some pics when I do the back. It was a fair pain to do the handles and they are not even perfect. I think doing the back will be much easier because you just need to heat and stretch and then cut and tuck the area (I hope)...

Replaced a bad coil pack causing a cylinder 1 misfire in the middle of my run group in an autocross event. Didn't miss a single run!
@148k 4 coil packs are still original

That's wild. Wonder if I should change mine out as preventative. Still original, and have 286k on them.

A) both times my packs failed they only misfired when the engine was warm
B) The failures were at cyl 1 and 4 at the front of the engine exposed to airflow during driving
C) cyl 4 it only misfired on cold mornings before transitioning to failure mode A after a week of that

So I'm concluding that New England winter temperatures over the course of 16 years kills the circuit in the coil packs based off this one example

I'd be willing to bet your car has lived its life above freezing temperatures!

Am I right?

In your case I'd just keep a used spare with the car just because of mileage, they're so easy to replace with the engine cover off and cheap from high mile partouts

I'm in Maryland, not as much of a deep freeze as new England, but we still get good freeze/thaw cycles that you don't see up there. Plus all the damn road salt because of said freeze/thaw cycles.
