At least you can cross an intake off your shopping list.

I feel it. It's quite the difference! Motordyne Midrange Dyno chart is no joke.

I've replaced our fans and radiator with parts from Rockauto. Purchased TYC brand for both. They were inexpensive, fit just like OEM and worked great. Each of them were under $90 shipped in Texas.

I feel your pain. 5 mph hit. Guy hit me in a parking lot diving for his cell phone. I went to put it in reverse but...it happened so fast yet he was going so slow. My uninsured policy is covering this schmuck's **** up. Close to $5k in damage. Nutz.

I know. That's a lot based on the damage. Core support, driver head light, bumper cover, crash bar, misc. crap and a few hundies coming out of my pocket to make up the difference to paint the hood, blend the fenders and paint the side mirrors. All original equipment and new parts. I found a brand new and legit o.e. driver head light and the difference between what the shop and insurance quoted a replacement at ($1,400) and my Ebay price ($240) was applied to the hood, fenders and mirrors.
Damage + rental came close to totaling the FX out but the claims adjuster assessed the damage in person and said based on condition and low miles, it's got a fair value of $14k.
Driving this piece until I get my **** back.

I posted once and the post vanished so I whipped it together a second time and now both were posted? Strange.

Replaced my valve cover gaskets and spark plugs since there was a little bit of oil in the spark plug tube of #5.

I noticed (what seemed to me) a good amount of blow by residue in the plenum.

131K miles on it, and I doubt it's ever been cleaned before so this might be normal. I didn't notice any residue in the inside of the TB so I don't think there's a problem with the PCV on the driver's side leading to the intake. I also haven't noticed a large amount of oil consumption between changes. I cleaned everything really well and re-installed.

I'm going to open it up again in a couple thousand miles to see if there's anything new. I might install a catch can at that point to see if that clears things up. The passenger side came with a new PCV valve, so that could also be the culprit.

That's a really good insurance company to pay all that especially the blending. After the car is I think over 3 years old they dont pay to blend anything no more.

Crazy how such a small crash makes so much damage :[

They bought all new stuff. They could've gotten a core support and crash bar from a bone yard on ebay, saved mucho $ and nobody would no the difference. I told the claims adjuster I can get a new o.e. headlight for $240 but he came back with $1400.

I need to do this to mine. Jealous of your G getting the exquisite treatment. Just commuted in mine.
