How do you guys continue answering the same questions?
I've been on this forum now for 8 months, but have owned my car for about 4 years. If I had a question, I would simply Google it and it was already answered in enough threads to where I wouldn't even need to create an account here, so really I just joined for the fun of it.
I have noticed, however that people continue to constantly barate this place with the same unnecessary questions about compression rods, plenum spacers, tire sizes/offsets, coilovers/spring setups, etc. How do you regulars who have been here for years continue to answer these questions time and time (and time and time) again? Its annoying me.

I'll answer a newby the first time and gently tell them how to search for the answer the second time. I don't want to scare them off, I want this community to grow. However, I have noticed that the Sponsor thread posts out number the member thread posts on most days now.

If it's someone that just looking for easy info, I'll just ignore the post and leave them to find out on their own.

Funny you should ask, I believe it was 2007 when I came up with this..."Search is your friend, use it!" New members don't know any better so I feel obligated to answer a few questions but then I direct them to our Search along with all our stickys which contain answers they might ask...Gary

All of us were newbies at one time. Problem is some of us forget that and choose to flame the crap out of newbies even if they've made the same mistakes. I'll try to help someone if they look liked they've tried to search and could actually use the information. I've written more than a few informative threads to help such people.

And, you're right everyone was a newb at one point, I'm more or less just asking how some of you guys haven't just punched your comp screen or thrown your smart phone cuz I've been here a relatively short time and I'm already getting annoyed by it. I guess I shoulda been here in 08. Haha
