Can you guys help me? My aftermarket shift **** came off loose by its own so I decided it was the perfect time to switch back to my oem one but as I was trying to screw the oem back on it didn’t want to go in?? Is that metal ring required to install the oem one back on?
It doesn't come installed in the OEM shift **** though, it goes on first then the **** screws on. There are a LOT of threads though, are you SURE it wasn't screwing on?
Got it in i just need to press it and turn super hard this time I used vice grips under the shifter and turned liked hell but now my car feels like when I first bought it
Only thing now is that I noticed 5th and 6th gear and kinda hard to get into (I hope it’s not my tranny as I don’t really drive the car that often for it to be damaged) 1-4th gear go in no problem and reverse goes in to
