Are you guys new to the thread new to the whole G form all together but I do have some questions and hoping that you guys are all OK helping out the new guy. First off, what does RXEV35 ? Like, I know that the V35 is the 3.5 v6 but what does the RXE stand for or mean on my engine model exc Here is a pic of it.
Replied to your other thread, but now that I see this picture it all makes sense, that's just a casting number, probably on the upper oil pan. Doesn't mean anything.
The engine ID tag is on the block (edit) at the REAR of the RIGHT heads. You can see what engine the chassis was factory installed with by looking on the chassis ID tag located on the right side strut tower.
You should have a VQ35HR.

So I tried using the engine serial number and then decoder that I found online and from my understanding the letters in the sequence are how you determine when the engine was built. For example the R is for 2004 and the X is for 2006 if I am in fact reading it correctly. I believe that is supposed to be the engine serial number as I did find it on the back of the block near the fly wheel not above the oil pan.
It’s definitely thrown me for a loop that’s for sure
