Aftermarket parts cheapen your G
define "better"
im sure you can make a g35 faster then a g37 pretty easily...probably make it louder at the same time though...less reliable only if you boost it, bolt ons dont really do much to reliability. 370z is another story because its actually sort of light

yeah but i don't want an economy 19 and I don't want a 35 series tire
comparing an economy 19 to a performance 18 is comparing apples to oranges..im sure there are 19" tires i could have bought which cost less than my 17" conti dw's
i mean you basically wrote 2.5 paragraphs about nothing there
take a Potenza RE050A
275/35-19 from tirerack $290 each
275/40-18 $272 each
so thats an extra $72 on 4 tires but more importantly the 18s aren't usless, bumpy rubberbands
sure they have some $206 hankooks and im sure if you look around find much cheaper stuff, but i dont want cheap tires, tires > wheels

My arguement is justifying that 18's dont always cost less than 19's
theres always options of choosing another tire brand that offers the same performance, but doesnt have the stand out name brand as others.
you like to use the word "cheap" how are you determine what is "cheap". do you do any type of testing? or just cause it's not a name brand its considered cheap?
I'd suppose when your sick you buy name brand products, cause generic brand names are cheap, and wont do you justice.
forgot to mention... Hankooks v12's are not cheap. many G members run them and speak highly of them. and Remeber even name brand companies do make what you call cheap tires.

im not gonna make up numbers, my brother works at a tire shop, ill tell you what i can get them for
im gonna get 18s, im not going to get a major drop because coilovers annoy me and i dont care..lol
unless i find 19s that i really like, or a great deal on coupe 19s otherwise i am thinking aftermarket 18s of some sort...once my tires wear out though..i may not even have the car anymore at that point so we'll see
and tell me what cheap tires do you think are good? I've had kumho ecsta spt's those are decent, hankook rs2s were good tires, falken makes some decent stuff, I mean I agree, price isn't everything and a lot of tires are way overpriced, but im not gonna throw federals, wanli's or calientes on my 19s lol

if the cheap brand name meets my driving style needs, meets within oem specifications, gets good reviews and is within my budget. I would get them.
I've never been much of a brand name person, anyways...

i can't post a link to the price my brother can give me...i could log into his tirerack wholesale account and take a screen shot though

i mean he has other channels to get tires, they prefer not to use tirerack I think, but these are $26 cheaper or $104 for all four, since apparently I need to prove that I can get a hook up on tires for some reason...I mean if he had them in stock I might stand to get a better deal but I can't really prove that this easily

basically what you are telling me is you care how rims look and for the sake of looking good you will just buy generic tires...i mean sure they might be fine, but personally I don't think any of us know enough about tires to beable to tell what company is gonna sell you an unsafe tire that will have imperfections in its rubber and blow out at 90mph, I'd rather spend a little more and have a proven brand, I also wouldn't buy the most expensive tire just because it was expensive, I check out tire reviews and decide based on that, I don't know exactly what else you can do aside from trying them all out
really wow thanks, I had no idea I would have to pay shipping to buy tires from the internet
(and for god's sake don't respond with "but discounttiredirect has free shipping"..lol)
shipping is about 40 i think, do you have a better price?...not that I really care anyway, I wouldn't buy those tires, I was just asked to prove I had a hook up on tires for some reason
