cuz I used mine today and right after I removed the tire
the damn thing collapsed. like it bent into a interesting position
and slammed down onto the brake rotors ****ing them up..
I quickly went to wal-mart to buy a jack and jackstands
but its too late. I think i need a new rotor.
and no I'm not a dumbass. I know how to change a spare tire
and yes I put it in the right place right between the two notches.
the damn thing just collapsed and bent. its like all deformed now.
wtf is this? don't you think they should have included a stronger jack with our cars if they are so heavy?
do you think I could get the dealer to fix the damage and replace the jack for free?
I'd never use the OEM jack unless I'm stuck on the side of the road so I don't end up like this guy, and I'd never get under a car without jackstands.
Here's a pic and some advice (stolen from a ZR-1 site) regarding what madchef is asking about. Some people have cut a slot in a hockey puck so that the slot fits the ridge that runs along the G's jack points. Others have just let the metal ridge along the jack point fold over, with apparently no ill effects.

damn, I waas like, wtf is with hockey pucks?
I use a piece of wood
btw, Off topic but beside the instructed places for side jack (under the side skirts) where else can I use independent stands to support the car? I think i saw the frame tubes when I lift the car up, but want to make sure before I use them.
