well everyone, thanks for the replys. Car was taken to the shop, but they are super backed up so they cant even start working on it until end of next week or so. Repairman said looks like a lot of damage and once they start working on it, it can take about a month or so to be finished. He also said that theres a possibility it isnt THAT bad once they take it apart. So we'll see. Keep u all posted

My G got rear ended a little while back too...the damage is very similar. The cost to repair mine was 15k and took about 6 weeks! Make sure you inspect the car after repairs very well and don't be affraid to tell them if something wasn't done perfectly. I rejected mine 2 times before being satisfied.
Heres a link to some pics of mine.

I got hit too (but in my 325i)

Holy crap bro that stuff is insane. I have a question though, was the car drivable after it was rammed? I understand you were on a lawn, but in the pictures, it looked as though you were able to make it back home, but I dunno if you got towed. If it was driveable, I woulda chased after the Ford Truck. Then rammed his 4$$ off the road. (actually no, but I would get his license plate).

My mom got hit and run in our 02 325i. She freaked out and couldn't decide if she wanted to chase the old (pre1990) american car or not. And ended up just pulling over and filing a police report.

Sucks, hope you can find who did it.
1. Two cars going head on at 30 mph each > 50 mph into still car
2. Trees and walls don't have crumple zones like cars do

Exclamation Exploding gas tanks!!!

My car wasn't drivable. I tried to follow the guy that hit me but couldn't. It's just as well. After I got out of the hospital I went back to see the car. There was fluid still dripping quickly from the near the muffler...but no puddle!!!!! It was gasoline and was evaporating almost as soon as it landed. The tank ruptured but didn't explode or catch fire.

Note: The first thing the firefighters did when they arrived was to turn off the car. I don't know why I didn't think about doing that, but after an accident there are a million things running through your head...especially a hit and run.
