Hi all, I have been looking at this forum for about 4 wks and got a lot of good info from here. I was ready to order my car soon and yesterday my old honda prelude just died on me while I was driving on I-290. I was very lucky not to get into an accident. Anyway, I don't feel like spend anymore money to fix my old car so I decided to get a g35 on the lot instead of orderring it. I have about two weeks to do this. Here are my questions. I live in chicago area and willing to drive one or even two hours to get a good deal. I checked out Infiniti Of Lisle and they do have exact car that i want. Anyone has any good experience with this dealer? and what kind of deal can I get from them? Anything that I need to watchout for? and what about other dealer around chicago? Someone here posted yesterday that he got $1,800 off the sticker price. I will be very happy with that. Thanks guys and please help me out so I can join the group soon. Can't wait.

Nobody is getting much $$ of the sticker. All the people that have bragged of that have not shared their invoices with us when asked.

 

I think a couple of hundred off MSRP is what the average is.

I am on Long Island. The dealers are not budging. I ordered mine in July. I am getting it next month. The dealer told me the lease price has gone down since I ordered.

 

I paid the 38.6k sticker on mine, but got a little better deal on my trade then book. It's really hard to get a break on a G35c right now.. especially in the configuration I bought off the lot.. 6MT diamond graphite/willow and all options including NAV. Here in Dallas, it would have sold in a day or two if I didn't buy it when it was unloaded off the truck.

Just be aware of the dealer markups. They can easily make a ton of money off of Lo-Jack, Window Tint, and even custom rims if they are on the vehicle. Extended warranties, etc. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info guys. I am shooting for $1000 off of MSRP. I also trying to decide betweeen black and red and as you all know this is the hardest decision that I have encounter. I saw three G35 today, black, silver, and diamond graphite and I like the black the best out of all three. Red also a very nice and catchy color. Here is my question. Is the insurance will cost more on the red than black? Can anyone confirm this please?

oh, from what i've heard, dealers have more flexibility on dealer installed options. mats, splash guards, etc.....

if you are getting that stuff, try to use to your advantage.
