Thats the typical response I usually get from people because of my car but it doesnt bother me anymore.

The paintjob cost about $2700 but the insurance covered most of it.

if you want the car, start working, and at least pay for part of it... AND GAS!!! I'm 19 and i won't lie, my parents bought me half the car, but writing a check for 16500 (parents were willing to match what i pit in and i had VPP) and paying gas gives you much more of a satisfied feeling and youll appreciate the car much more. youll probably also hate paying gas, but hey, its your car, take care of it.
suprisingly insurance is not bad at all on the coupe, but i figure parents should insure you until your on your own

anyways, good luck

if not, just like anyone else said, buy a beater and save up

Tell your parents to GROW up. And for you, go get a job and earn your car payment bro.

I got mine when I was 17, almost 18 and was a senior in HS. It was my second car. First was a hand-me-down from my mom, 1999 M-Benz E320. Beautiful car but nothing like the G.

Just get the G. Its not that big of a deal. Let the kid enjoy it, I do

If your parents have the means, then enjoy the car. It's a bit much for a first time driver but I'm sure there are plenty of other 17 yr olds out there driving higher end cars than the G35. Be responsible and drive carefully.

parents can raise their kids whichever way they want. So, I'll with hold my comments.

Personally, if I was spoiled like a 1000year old egg, I'd be asking for a lotus elise (or better yet, the exige). Now THAT is a car many won't have, unless I am severly underestimating the level of taste of highschool "car enthusiasts".
