actually both have the same engine so both needs premium....you can choose to use regular on each except..its not recommended...I don't see why the sedan drivers like myself would put regular when we want the best performance out of our car as well....although some coupe and sedan owners alternate or mix, I just put premium all the time...
I think the G probably has way more power than anything you have driven - considering you have probably been driving one year tops. The G is not your mom's camry - a lot of juice + rear-wheel drive can be dangerous if you aren't careful.
I was 21 when I got mine and was used to driving trucks and reg sedans for 4years but when you know whats under the hood the temptation to open it up is always there - the traction control def saved my @ss a couple times - don't turn it off until you really know how to drive and understand RWD dynamics.
Be safe and don't try to show off - guys are going to pull up to you at lights and on the highway trying to bait u into racing - ignore them and remember your parents bought you the car because they believed you were responsible enough to be safe.
Good luck with the decision.

You should definitely be thanking your parents for spoiling you with a new G35C as a first car. Not to flame you or anyone else here on the board, but no kid deserves a 40K car just for doing his homework and staying out of trouble. You only deserve something when you work your *** off for it. Nothing in life is given, everything is a privilege. Just think how long it would take you to pay the monthly car payment plus insurance at minimum wage flipping burgers at your age. So appreciate what you have and be content.
