Help! Engine Dies at Startup

Well car cranks fine, but right when the car starts to idle it dies on me. I've been trying to get the car to run for the past 2 hours and nothing. Do I need replace the spark plugs? Or is it because the fuel is not getting into the engine? I received the recall notice for the fuel hose 2 weeks ago and haven't gone to the dealer yet. I also noticied the service engine light on a couple of days ago too. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm . . . You might be better served by biting the bullet and taking your car in to see the issue is.

Spark plugs are not the reason why a car will die on you...I'm pretty sure that the code it sets will tell you...Is your car still under warranty? They can pull the code...Spark plugs are the last thing o my list to worry about,...

I had this happen to me on my other car. It's more then likely the MAF sensor, and as it turns out, there is a problem with some people's MAF sensor so have them take a gander at that.

well if it is still under warranty. which it shoud be..
Call the dealership and make them tow it in and give you a loaner..
That is what a warranty is for. and they can fix the recall..

what did you instal before this issue happend? Every time after I clean my CAI my car will idel weird for a week. After a week of driving my idel is fine. The very first time when I cleaned my CAI, my car will start - idel - then die, I will have to give a gas a little bit to keep the idel high. I think it has to do with the sensor (MAF sensor??) inside the tube. Or you can just take it in to the dealer and have them check if you don't have any aftermarket parts in your engine bay that they can spot it right away.
