Re: Coupe Grill Alternative

oooh i see. So is he planning on selling these? Does he want to make a set for the sedans? I'd be willing to send him my headlights for a while if he'd make me a set.

Re: Coupe Grill Alternative

ducatiguy, what did you do about the lltte humps on the stock grill? Did you try to duplicate them with the body putty or just leave them off in the replaced section

Re: Coupe Grill Alternative

I actually left those little "humps" out from the faux center I created. I could have designed them into it, wouldn't have been to hard, but I really didn't see it needed it. You can hardly notice them, and in a way it kind of adds a little depth to the center of the grill.

As for the headlight covers, yes he wants to make them and ultimately merket them online. All he needs is my car and or my headlights for a few days, and I just havent had the chance to give him either or. As for the sedan, I don't see why he couldn't make them for that as well, but once he would need a donar car or a set of lights. lastly, he knows there's a demand for the coupe covers, as he has a few customers already lined up, but for the sedan, well I'm not so sure. I will ask him.

Anyone with a Sedan in the NYC / Long Island area willing to help out?

Re: Coupe Grill Alternative

Don't you think the headlight covers would have a strange shape considering where the clearance lights are?

Re: Coupe Grill Alternative

No - why would you think it would look strange? The covers would be designed and cut to fit flush on the oem headlight covers. Since you'll have to paint them the same color of your car, in fact they would give the frpnt end a more "wrapped up" look - blending the hood with the fenders. . .

Re: Coupe Grill Alternative

i don't think the headlight covers are going to be popular with everyone.. most 350z owners i've talked feel that the covers jus don't look right and i agree.. then again, that's jus some people's opinions..
