I own a 2005 coupe. Last day, I had a bet with a friend who owns a honda s2000. His car has headers, air intake kit, chip tuning and a performance exhaust system. My car is stock. He passed me significantly between the third and the fourth gear. Is that possible????

 

OF course its possible. Hope you didn't put up too much $$$ for the bet... Your car would probably need his mods to beat a stock Honda S2000.

 

Do not underestimate the power of the S2000. It's a very light car and can pull away really fast. There is a video clip of a slightly modded S2000 vs a stock G35. The only time the G35 came close was from a rolling 60mph start. Anyone know where that clip was from? I believe it was from "youtube" or something.

 

What kind of person makes 1 post AFTER a bet like that. Geez... Youre probably an AT also huh?

Simply looking at stock 0-60 times between both vehicles would show that the S2000 has a slight advantage over you to begin with. Then add headers, a chip and intake and bye bye. That S2000 should have raped you.

Sorry to say this, but next time do a little more research than you did.

 

those s2000's are very quick when driven properly. the only chance you have is up around 60 or higher and that is only a chance i mean with a stock vs stock it would not be too bad of a race but these 2 cars are pretty even in acceleration in stock form so what exactly did u expect when hea has full exhaust and intake with chip???? hes in the 13's and you are in the mid to high 14's so it honestly souldnt have been too much of a surprise

check: weight factor, engine output to the "wheels", mods, at vs 6spd and so on...

Ummmm...yes.!! Those cars are light and very fast for what they are...Its just like what i saw this weekend,i saw a 05 6mt with headers intake and exhaust go up against a srt4 and thought he would win.!! He got raped right after they switched to 3rd.!! Yes its sad but true..
