Wow...and I was considering this kit.
Thank God you two are ok and no other parties involved in that incident.
I'd take a lot of pictures of where this broke. Just a faulty weld or was there rust at the weld joint, etc.
The good thing is your Dealer endorsed and installed these, otherwise Kinetix would have ammunition saying they were installed wrong if you had done the installation yourself.
What kind of warranty on these?
Your insurance co should be able to help with their lawyers in this. I'm sure they have an interest in someone paying them back for this damage.
If I had this kit, I would be checking mine for rust and/or hairline cracks at the welds which would be signs of guaranteed future failure down the road.
G/L with everything.

Notify Kinetix and request their GL/Product liability carrier's info so they can file the claim or you can file the claim directly. If you get any resistance from them you can hope your auto carrier subrogates against them for the product defect. Your carrier and the their carrier should want to perform a a full investigation and copy of any police reports. Any proof of this product having a history of breakage at the weld points would help support a quick resolution. Contact anyone online that has had the same thing happen. You will need all of their info.
You may not need a lawyer until someone says NO, or denies coverage/responsibility.

Really, if the product is dangerous it should be taken off the market immediately and owners notified.

i wouldnt say it out of control. i mean, if a company makes a product, used to correct the camber of ur suspenion, they should be made to handle all the obstacles you face on the streets and the tracks...
i mean, no one buys a camber kit just to correct your camber and just have the car sit there and look pretty.
if u make a product, and it fails, causes and accident or death, then the company should be liable..

I am happy you and your son are all okay. It pisses me off to no extent that a company is aware of an issue with their product, but for the sake of profit they will take no action, they would rather their customers and their family run the risk of being killed rather than performing a recall.
