Weird AC/Heater behavior...

Hey guys... first of all, good day to you!

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this: regardless if I have the a/c or heater going and I havet it in the mode were it shoots out the main vents, whenever I turn it off and back on by selecting the fan buttons, the mode has changed to have the air come out the feet vents.

Does it everytime.... can anyone verify or help me with this please?

I have an '06 G35 Coupe. Thanks!

Okay I might be answering my own question. I notice that when you start with the temp all the while down at 60 degrees, the mode is towards the face. As you turn the dial up and you reach 75 degrees (or around that) the mode automatically switches over to both face and feet. And then towards the higher end (80 - 90 degrees) the mode automatically turns to just the feet.

Therefore I assume that depending on what temp it's at when you turn off the ac, that's the mode at which it will resume.

Anyone have any insight on my theory?

I know it's not a big issue. I was simply wondering why it would default back to a setting that I had not picked. Isn't that why we have forums like this? So we can share/explain certain aspects of our cars?
