Exactly why I was glad that I didn't buy the 350z. With my height it seem like I was sitting straight up and looking at the top of the windshield.

You are right on both counts. First, good call on the Z4 M's interior. It's definately spartan. Second, almost everyone that I know that has driven both the Cayman S and Z4 M, prefer the Cayman S. There of course is a big price differance between the two cars, but if you don't mind getting an '06, they can be bought for mid $50Ks.

The interior is minimalistic, but by no means mediocre, it has better fit and finish than the G. This car is meant to be driven fast, real fast, not sitting while sipping your coffee and cruise in traffic.

Frankly, if I wanted a Porsche, I wouldn't settle on a Cayman or a boxster which the Z4M is compared to. There is no substitute for the Turbo. Plus I like the roadster's look so much better than cayman. Speed channel did a special on M cars in September, he said it's the most fun you can have in a BMW, and I agree.

I think I am the second one. Can the weak brake disc problems of an '03 G35 be solved by replacing them with '05 discs when they wear out?

Which would be the better choice? Do all G35cs feather their tires badly?

Speaking of feathering, I have over 21,000 miles on the stock Michelin Pilot Sports and there is barely any feathering at all, and I'm lowered on Tein H-Tech for 350Z springs with no other mods done to the suspension yet. I guess this problem is hit or miss, and seems to be more an issue for 350Z's than G's.

It hurts my eyes when I see a Z4- FUGLY! I hate that diagonal slash between the front wheel and the door- WTF????

The impression I have so far is that the Z4 is a lot more reliable than the G, less chance of landing with a lemon. Is that true?

I have an '07 Z4 Coupe

I sold my '04 Infiniti Coupe for an 06 BMW Z4 Coupe (3.0si). I have to say that I am completely satisfied with the Z. This car is fantasic in terms of its acceleration and handling. It's a driver's car. My G felt a bit pedestrian compared to this car. The G is still a top car on my list and I still recommend them to folks. I simply like to feel the road and the Z does it for me. I've had mine for 6 months now and I've never looked back. The fit and finish is superb and the cabin is minimalist, but it was designed that way to allow the driver to focus on driving.

You should all be proud to drive G35s. This is the best value out there for a coupe. I wish you all the best!

I think I'll choose the Z4, reliability being the decider.

G coupe for sure. Z4 doesn't look at good and performance is not that well either..Unless if it's a M. G coupe has the size, the engine, the look and the comfort. Oh yea..last thing, I just won a lemon lawsuit on bmw 330i last week.
