The weed thing was just an analogy, and it applies. A law is a law, however stupid that may sound. True, the pound of weed would probably get you more than 90 days probation, but you would still be charged with possession. Trust me on this one.

Your father was told. No way he wasn't told, unless he tagged the car out of state - meaning the car is tagged in a state that doesn't require a front plate and he was driving in one that does. I just transferred my G from Texas registration and tags to Washington state and tags. Guess what? They handed me TWO TAGS over the counter. One for the front, and one for the rear. Even if he had the tags mailed to the house, they come as a set. Not to sound like a dick (too late!) but 'I didn't know' doesn't work. As a licensed driver, it's his responsibility to know. I find it hard to believe he didn't notice the other 99% of the cars on the road were running two tags.

Your father knew, and if he didn't know, he needs to get smart about traffic laws in the state in which he resides because he's causing his kid some pain.

I'm probably older than your dad while we're bull$hitting.

It isn't the end of the world. Chalk it up to experience and save it for later reference. It's inconvenient, but won't leave permanent scars on your paint. I don't know how old you are, but I'd be willing to bet that by the time I reached your age I'd been a lot further down the 'I fvcked up' road than you have...

I once got three tickets over a four week period (I took a week off ) by the same cop (FL State Trooper) on the same stretch of road. 65 in a 45. I wasn't learning.

That's been about 25 - 26 years ago now. I still, to this very day, break out in a sweat when I see cops coming up from the rear with the lights on - even when I know damn well I'm legal..

I asked him back then and i remember he said that of all the times he has been pulled over in both the vette and his s-class...both with no pront plate...he was never told anything about the lack of a front plate. Everyone knows you are supposed to have one, but there are tons of people out here that don't have them...i hardly see a vette that does actually...maybe noticed 5 tops out of the thousands that i see out here.

Anywho, i'm done. unsubscribed
