Chill.

It was just another option for the guy to take, there is no need to be defensive about it

buy a turbonetics single turbo kit. I heard great things about it, one of the guys down here has a greddy TT kit and 2 skylines and said if he had another option he would go with the turbonetics kit. Its relatively cheap and comes with everything. All you would need is the install and maybe a slight tune. The kit already comes with software, intercooler, turbo, and piping.

If not that then go with a vortech SC, best thing to do IMO.

This is the kit I plan on getting for these reasons. If you (thread originator) have a stock ride there are a few other things that would be highly recommended with this install but it definitely in all wont cost more than 8k. I think the kit alone retails at 5.7k. The vortech kit is also easy and a really good option. These are your easiest and best options for really good power gains.

get some motor work done then add some juice (100 shot/2-stage).

This way when your not running the juice you still have some
***** around town.

All can be had for $5-$6K

Stillen Supercharger, pick a stage; 1,2,3, or 4 - depends on your $$$ budget.

More power or faster? If you want more power, S/C it like the others, if you want to go faster and quicker, get a new R6 or used R1. You'll be doing 180mph easily (take it to the track).
