Does anyone else experience mild gear whine on their 6mt. is it normal? Would a rear diff fluid change help with this?

 

How many miles on your car?

 

I think i do...I have been wondering what it is...sounds like a squeal or whine coming from the center of the car when i pass 3k rpms...hate it man. Is that what you are getting? if so let me know what you think can be done to get this fixed...

i have 63k on my car. why would miles matter?

 

mine sounds like tranny whine..common from what I can tell

 

when does it make the noise? any certain point in the rpms or is it constant all the way through?

 

from idle to about 3500's I checked the clutch fluid all was
well. My friends Z does the same

 

Its normal, all manual trannies do it esp in 1st and 2nd gear rolling in neutral to a stop. This is THE loudest manual transmission I've ever owned.

 

I have 40k miles on mine, just bought it... I only hear it in 1st and 2nd especially when its cold... mostly on deceleration

Same here it sounds like a jet engine comming to a stop....lol
