Re: how much slower is a auto vs a 6spd g35?

sorry for another post, but i'm unable to edit my previous posts because something is wrong here, and has been for a few months. i find the message Darn: Serum a little disturbing and offensive. please fix that [censored], shouldn't be difficult.

i didn't mean to sound like an angry [censored]. i'm just so tired of people saying an AT is slower than an MT. if anything, the differences are barely noticable. further more, i'd like to ask which trans leaves more room for error? AT or MT? as for my previous post, i can actually choke my chicken, instead of jerking a stick around and pretending like i'm choking it. just trying to joke a bit here, even though it's ridiculous.

why not go cry to someone when an MT vehicle that you drive can't beat an AT vehicle of another brand? what then? would you say that speed doesn't matter, or would you say that you like X car better regardless of how fast it is? ok, definitely done, even if i didn't get my point across clearly.

let me know when you want to be an adult about it, so we can maybe see eye to eye. A question is a question. I asked without you hearing how my tone of voice is, so your stubborness brought you to think my questions are being rhetorical. Maybe you need to understand what a forum is for. It can be informative, which i use for information rather than arguing or stomping on other people's opinion.

Your post is all about how you can drive your car... i could care less how you drive your car. I rather see raw numbers and facts. It's a free country, my opinion is my opinion. All my post was i THINK manual is more responsive, which is my 2 cents. You are the one that pointed me out as being another underinformed poster. Trust me no nerves of mines have been struck. Maybe you need to get off that pedestal of yours with your belief that you are always right to not accept other peoples opinion.

Dopeman, let's say that I am on a pedastal, and I decide to step off of it. How low will I need to go to reach your level of insults of intelligence, and what I anticipate will soon include further attempts of smite?
A question is NOT always a question. Some are rhetorical. If you were being inquisitive then your writing style left much to be desired. You imply I don't know what a forum is for.. If you really understood forums then you would know when it is appropriate to use all caps when sharing an "opinion". Your use of all cas implies a STRONG opinion. Maybe you need to understand how to post in a forum in a manner that better represents what your intended objective is without contradicting yourself or your intentions. (BTW there is nothing wrong with being underinformed, it's not like that means you're stupid. It just means that if you listen, you'll learn something).
As regards wether you could care less how I drive my car.. and that you'd rather see raw numbers and facts. There were plenty of raw number and facts in this thread that you apparently disregarded before you decided to post. Also, me driving my car is a fact- it's certainly not fiction.
If you care less how I drive my car, then why share your own experiences of how an automatic failed to respond when switching lanes in traffic etc. That was the only thing you presented to substantiate your argument (Where are the raw numbers? Where are the facts?) Furthermore you're saying that I didn't accept your opinion, that's true but I didn't argue against your right to share it. I simply responded with my own opinion, and my opinion is that you were wrong.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

i'm so sick of this debating. you can argue all you want, fact is as more time passes, the more clutchless shifting (f1 paddle type deals) will come into effect. then what are the MT arrogant owners (i hate to generalize, sorry) going to say about it?

<hr></blockquote>

Keep in mind that a true manual tranny is still faster than these "clutchless" manuals, such as BMW's SMG.

It's pretty well known that a manual trans BMW M3 is faster than an SMG BMW M3.

Makes you wonder though, huh? The SMG is nearly identicle to a manual trans in every way, except for the fact that a computer controls the clutch, instead of the driver (with his clutch pedal), yet the true manual trans is in fact faster.
